If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I like it how it is, I have every sword/staff/bow already bound to their respective hotbar slots so if I change gear bags or pick up a better weapon, it will automatically be used. If I have to drag all my weapons over to another slot every time I gear up, that is going to be really shitty.

This simply isn't true, most spells are nearly exactly the same as other spell of its type and provide very little variation. You could get away with only using like 10-20 binds. Magma, r90, field aoe, fireball, wof, eye rot, rays, confusion, stormblast, begone, shrapnel, weapons, disable blow, ww, leeches, pots, food, mounts. You do not need all of these to be effective and some really do not require a bind, you could also put some on the same bind based on which weapon you using.

Most fights can be won without ever using WoF, fireball, magma, confusion, stormblast, begone, shrapnel, disable blow, pots and mounts. You could easily set up preset binds for necessary skills and spells on what people consider to be good binds for them, so people know basics they need and have them bound. You could also have a tutorial saying where these are bound to, how to change them and how to set up more.

    1) Give us instant-cast or click to cast based on what we have equipped.

    Example:

I have Q for fireball, E for bolt, R for R90, F for Magma Storm. But I also have Q for whirlwind and E for powerattack, R for Disabling Blow, and F for knockback.

Because I want my melee attacks to be instant, but my spells to be click and hold to cast, I actually have Q, E, R, F dual-bound to ;, :, ", and ', which is why if I don't disable my macro's you'll see those characters included in my typing.

Just let us pick whether something is instant or click-and-hold to cast on per slot basis.

    2) Let a hotbar slot reference a hotbar slot.

Example: Currently, if I have a sword and shield, and my sword breaks, I can no longer bring out my shield until I re-hotbar another 1 handed weapon.

Let us have a hotbar slot for "One Handed Weapon", where I can put all my 1 handers, including my leafblade, and a hotbar slot where I can put any shields I'm carrying (or just put a bunch of shields into that slot in order of preference, so tapping my one-hander and shield button will always bring out my most preferred one handed and my most preferred shield.

    3) Let us define a key to be context sensitive.

Example: I want to use my right click to cast rays when I've got my staff out, but I want it parry when I have a two-hander or one-hander and shield out.

My whirlwind would fail all the time in fights. If you're going to have 1 server, make sure the people that don't live on the east coast can use skills too. Thanks

Ps. I believe new dawn fixed this issue. Yet you guys dont for whatever reason.

1 let us bind weapons to a hotbar slot aswell as spells/skills (aka you can put staff ontop of a transfer, making it 1 keystroke to change to the staff and INSTANTLY cast the spell (if its on autocast )beneath on the same key)... atm I have a script that does this for me but you have to include waiting time. and using scripts is annoying when you want to change something

    2. spell que (dont really know how to descrivbe but new dawn had a system that made things work, what onslaught described didn't happen, and it didn't mean you could just que up stuff, but it made the system responsive and working for higher pings aswell)

    3. weapon bar , makes the weapon binds in 1. dynamic, let us bind all weapons in 1 slot here if we like and set it to first available.
    --- Post updated ---
the only way to remove ahk (for binds) is to make it redundant by offering a good system ingame, like new dawn did if you played that... you're not going to be able to effectively enforce such a ban anyway, so it's useless. For example if scripts were banned at the current state of the game I would use it anyway... and yes that I have to use it to have decent controls is absurd.
