To Big Picture Games.... Please don't make the same mistakes that your predecessors made... Don't keep bringing login servers online unless you are 100% sure you have addressed the issues. In games like these the initial grind is crucial for a lot of players and clans. If you continue down this path then you are guaranteeing your fate will be no different than that of Aventurines. I am more than sure that players would prefer waiting to having a working game than playing a broken game where a few have been able to pull ahead due to the chaos. AV made this mistake and Trion made this mistake with Archeage. Soon enough when enough holdings have been rushed by a few while most didn't have a chance you will have a major epidemic of players calling for a server wipe and restart. If you do it then you lose those who made it through the chaos to get what they wanted and if you don't you lose the players who didn't get a chance. Neither is good. Shut it down and fix what needs fixing. Once your confident give everyone a date and time for reopen. Everyone is happy.
Lmao guaranteeing their fate will be the same as Adventurines? You sound like a fucking idiot It's launch day, go read a book and calm down
We are working on fixes and bringing it up to see if what we have done worked. We feel what we have done recently should fix the problem and the only way to test that is to bring up and let people log in. We do appreciate the advice.
Of course, we don't have any plans to be anything like the previous owners. Working hard to prove that this game can be run properly!
This is literally day 1 of an MMORPG. If the servers weren't being flooded stable it would be a BAD sign. Just calm down and wait until things stablize.
Yea we all know... Point is there is a bottleneck somewhere which is the reason for my little monologue at the top. Server launches can kill a game faster than anything else. It's the "First Impressions" a perspective player gets. No MMO goes off without a hitch, but it's how the publisher/developer handles it that makes or breaks them. If they allow players to get a head start while cutting off the rest then it's only a matter of time before people start screaming "server wipe".
They kill mmos when the game is bad, not because the servers are unstable. WoW was absolutely awful at launch, and almost every expansion since.
Sadly there arent enough reasonable people to make a rational point, those of us that are end up being as much pariah around here as you will be. Just a friendly warning....
I'm still here saying a big fuck you to the mod who banned me from the discord for letting everyone know the loggin servers were online again. I guess that's considered spam. Whatever the case , he acted like a 12 year old today.
