    You probably don't remember this, but those were friendly duels that I threw intentionally to draw out wagers. I told them in Discord before the fights even started.... AND you're using the bag you begged me to let you wear after taking it off you 5 minutes prior.... lmao.

    You may have poor memory, but I don't, bb. This mind is a fucking steel trap.

    The real reason I laugh at people like you is because you legitimately can't discern player skill above a certain limit. It all looks the same to you. It's no fault of your own - you're just naive.

    The ping disadvantage kind of ruins this discussion. This type of game is quite attractive to Europeans and Russians among others. Changes to combat should always consider opportunities to reduce the ping handicap imo.

    You mean like in Darkfall UW were archery was dumbed down to landing arrows in the targeting circle based on RNG with screen wobble added. No thanks!

    I was thinking more in the lines of EverQuest 1999. You tab target, you click, and then you wait a while.

    Actually, thats not what I mean. Adding a few cycles here and there could help the ping issue without being very noticable, and it may even make the game attractive for more players, God forbid

    tab target = every other game out there. The reason I started playing this game in 2008 was because I got tired of that crap in Guild Wars.

    not checked in for a while, is any content being worked on yet like territory control that we were promised like 2 years ago? seems like too much is being removed / worried about that added flavor to the game like race wars, decaps and back damage

    not being toxic I just want to play good darkfall

    good content was added


    really bad combat change was added ( disable bolt, CD between spell got reduce and swapping weapons is to fast ), does 3 change makes noobs players die in 5 sec no matter what.

    You can make high ping a lot more tolerable with more client sided hit detection, projectile releases and weapon swaps. Changing combat is not necessary at all. Planetside 2 is a good example of a game where high ping is not a disadvantage at all because of the hybrid server/client way projectiles and hit detection work. It plays very smoothly up to around 150ms ping. I was able to compete in planetside at the highest levels (farmers league, scrims ect) with 90 to 100 ping. Darkfall feels like complete garbage even as low as 80 once you have played it or even watched gameplay at 50 or below. The sluggish release on spells/arrow, shortened melee range and awkward weapon swaps all make it feel extremely clunky compared to lower pings.

    Now does anyone at BPG even have the time or knowledge to fix the fucked up super ping dependant net code of RoA? Not a chance. But I would still rather not dumb down or fuck up combat. We still have not even unfucked it from the last time they touched it and it literally destroyed the games active pop.

    More dumb changes like unfazed for everyone including destroyer, double jump and mana shield added to destroyer for free, pungeant added a cast timer to it with a minute cool down, eye rot from 15 seconds to a minute cool down. Made wof one minute cooldown. Can come hither from all directions and begone in all directions. All dumb changes

    Combat is fantastic at the moment since they reverted it to the old df1 combat. I had my first adrenaline rush yesterday from the pvp! Its good to be back and good to have such a good bunch of devs working on this game!

    Because old school Darkfall combat was the best and back damage helped melee fighters bridge the huge gap vs mages and constant knockups.

    It should always be at 40% for mages and for melee pushers. Dfuw ruined the game completely by making the fights long and boring.
