Yeah was watching Jonah's stream. Fun fights all around for sure. I even went Heavy Hybrid and had a blast
Goddamn that looks fun af. I'm stoked the server looked totally able to manage that too. Also huge props to BW to taking on so many new faces
Here is my perspective. Warning: Nothing happens. =] Edit: Mouthbreathing and no commentary, still sick.
With this particular species of blob, once it loses its primary target, it almost instantaneously fractures into a dozen tiny, delicious pieces of loot. Sometimes it even starts to cannibalize itself, as some pieces of the blob will remain unallied to the rest. At first, researchers concluded that this behavior was to pre-load an excuse as to why they zerged so hard, known as "We were just scroaching, bro". Later research revealed that because blobs of this species grow so large, there's not enough loot to go around, and loot hungry pieces of the blob will seize the opportunity to gank confused players who were "friendly" just moments prior. This is known as the "Jonah Veil." This behavior usually leads to pyrrhic victories for this type of blob, as clean-up crews such as yourselves roll in and feast on the remains. I should do a darkfall nature documentary for ANN.
Actually grim was not even on at this point. Another leader in our alliance said we was getting Merced out for the siege. As everyone got ready to head to niff I guess the plans changed and we decided to go ahead and scroach. Grim had no idea we even went or was going. There was 2 or 3 total brutal members I do believe. Don't know if this is what you are even referring to but I figured I clarify.
Damn I missed that, looked fun. That being said, I also miss the old days where "mercing" out meant hiring a clan/alliance and not 50% of the server.
I did not know all of the details, just got told there was money involved so we proceeded to gear up and get ready. If they want to pay the price to keep their holding than it is what it is in my opinion.
To be fair, I was one PM away from a guaranteed victory, even with the number of people they managed to bring. I'm sure they knew this, but the price I was promised the night before had magically changed right before the siege, and that didn't sit well with me, even if it was only a 14k difference. So we did it live. Maybe next time I'll talk to Jonah directly, because apparently the "communal leadership" thing isn't working out for you guys. Who'da thunk it. Just gotta make sure the next holding I want is worth a guarantee. Or maybe not, if nothing else than to show the server where they actually stand.
Not enough to get gouged for 14k Besides, this was a good test for my clan. They're improving like crazy, and I'm proud of how well they did. If I brought 20 of you guys, this would've been a slaughter. The strongest steel (rods) are forged through the hottest flame, remember?
You know better than to make a "deal" with the master of whispers, you should have talked with Jonah or Apophis or more stuff to do endgame so that when there is a siege people don't all feel the need to be "scroaching"
Just to clarify on the mercenary talk, the Gentlemen were not hired — we were under the impression Dune Rats would be there as a hired ally of Blackwater, among other groups, sieging a smaller and primarily newbie clan, and so we headed North. As I mentioned before, it was a fun fight and it seems that both sides fielded a lot of new players - that's a promising sign for the game!
Isn't Angfrost the only holding for the KT alliance? I'm glad you didn't evict them solely for another bindspot. Niff could stand more diversity but not at the expense of the little guys.
