blackwater so shit they copied our clan name from beta i dont blame people for playing with blackwater right now since no1 else is playing but we all know if the game ever gets poppin and the real bangers come back, blackwater will go back to being insignificant and living in calf real quick.
One or two isolated cases are a coincidence. A continuous string of events throughout the last year forms a pattern. Even then, I'm very reasonable and wasn't jumping to conclusions. But then the lead dev's response on Discord consists of deflection, fallacy, arguing semantics, and being pointlessly confrontational (as usual) instead of doing something as simple as showing logs or saying it'll be looked into (even if it's a lie) so it's hard to justify spending any money on this game ever again.
Ability to be invisible anywhere in the world, This is possible but commands are logged and locations are constantly logged and monitored by Metalkon/Ibis so there is no way to abuse it. Read people’s pms Volunteer GMs have no access to read anything beside agon/public game channels and gm reports, all in game. insider knowledge of upcoming changes Volunteer GMs have no access to see anything that is changing Input on game direction that sways towards bw narrative. Volunteer GMs have no input on game direction
I've finished reviewing the situation with metalkon and Ibis over these comments and actions of this GM. It was a simple mistake as GM's are human but it does show a degree of separation issue which we take seriously as a company and myself personally. GM's are permitted to play the game but are not allowed to be in positions of power in clans nor be political factors in the game. We monitor actions by GM's to ensure that they maintain as unbiased a position as possible. In this case I feel the actions crossed the line which is why they have been removed them from the GM team at this time. GM's are human and do a job that is often thankless, we appreciate the volunteers that make up our GM team. It is a challenging position to be the rules enforcer and customer service point of contact but they do it pretty well. Over the life of Rise of Agon we have had to let a few GM's go which is regrettable but necessary to maintain the integrity of the team should issues arise. We don't have any concerns about suspected "collusion" or abuse over this incident. We investigate all claims and reports in this matter as we take it very seriously and continue to improve our tracking and processes to ensure the integrity of our GMs. In the current events surrounding GM Spaghetti we don't have any concerns of abuse and the reason for removing them is solely as stated above. GM's need to maintain separation and this event has shown a potential issue in that regard. I apologize for the unprofessional incident and appreciate the patience from those who reported concerns while we investigated.
Good to see the cries of 'GM Collusion' were as baseless as we all knew they were. I feel bad about what happened with GM Spaghetti. If they truly did nothing wrong but type something in Agon chat on their GM account instead of their personal account, it seems excessive to remove them from the GM team. But at the same time, I can see where you felt you had no recourse but to remove them, considering how the trolls were trying to spin this incident. At any rate, thanks for taking the time to address this, Andrew. Now perhaps the salty tears will stop falling for a day or two.
Didn't know GMs were playing in Blackwater ... really makes me think if it is worth continue playing. EDIT: The GM got removed from his position according to the Devs, so I intend to continue playing
If it makes you feel better, GMs are probably in all of the major clans per Neilk. If not... bye EDIT: Eff you Iamigra, stealing my thunder
And you are a "Supporter" of this game ... I can see that based on the words you use on the Forums ... *irony* No, I didn't know there were volunteer GM's in all clans, and I really dont think so --- Post updated --- I just think it is sad to read that some "GM" decided to do this and throw trash on Blackwater by doing so. Betting some of the members in Blackwater were not even aware of this ... and they don't deserve to have the stamp on them.
The sad reality is, the devs have been helping blackwater since the start, even if they don't realize it.
