The function which allows you to withdraw the arrow from the bow pressing R.
Not sure if it was ever in DFO to begin with.
Certainly not, if you knocked an arrow or cast a spell mistakenly either hold it in or shoot and give away your position. Actions have consequences.
Considering stringing the arrow makes a loud ass sound to begin with? Not to mention a bright glowing ball around you to even charge up a spell? I think the whole "Position" argument is already out the window. Being able to cancel an arrow wouldn't really stop that. Maybe have it make another sound to cancel it? Or how about a fizzle sound for a spell?
For a newbie learning the bow, it's annoying to have to waste an arrow. Or that may just be my OCD
No, that's part of the skill in this game. Read the situation and choose correctly or dump the arrow/spell
Sorry, releasing an arrow because you accidentally double tapped the mouse is not a skill. It's a needless waste. I say wait until it's fully drawn before you can cancel it if you are holding the key. If you aren't holding the mouse button down than the arrow is as good as gone. Why? Because hitting that button one too many times in the middle of a fight is the difference between pulling the sword n board out or mashing the keys because your bow is back through the animation again when someone decides to run into melee range. Anything beyond that is pointless waste of an arrow. The sound argument is moot since it already makes sounds to draw it. Opinion though.
