If you're going to advocate anything related to spells, then it should be self buff magnitude.

I agree that buffs in general (self and other) are not well thought out and do not fit well with the rest of game mechanics. By that I mean combat balance, risk vs reward factor, cost vs effect, etc.
Still I wouldn't agree though that self buffs are bigger problem than buff other. Buff other spells are ridiculously overpowered. And indeed, like Blaze pointed out, the most outrageous in my opinion might be haste buff other. There is really nothing, no matter the cost, that you could counter haste with, if you are alone.
Just remove all spells!
Dueling without haste in the public test server was fun as-hell. Haste is still OP in my opinion. Everything else is fine. Going melee against a player who has haste without haste is the biggest mistake you can make. You realize that when you go from 400 to 20 in a split second.
I hate haste because it takes away that option to trade in melee. So you become obligated to kite or to haste someone else.
can you entertain some ideas that move the 1v1 destroyer vs mage meta game to not be W+ parry?
Mount up and go W+leftClick for a while?
Anyway, If I may, please, this thread is about buffs.
Bows and mounted combat are still plenty viable. In fact, I don't think anyone can be good at destro without being good with a bow.
A destro that can land a bow shot is scary
