Nicely done, I have been wanting to make pvp assist videos for a long time. I just don't have the editing skills.
that is exactly what i was teaching some dude's today. That method works best for wolf/ork because the wolf speed and ork hit box bug I dont have as much luck with it on merdain
I dunno what to do for the next video. Strafing is so fucking boring, and honestly it'll just be a paraphrased way of saying "You need to learn timings really well". Any ideas?
can always do stuff like WW(for some reason people complain about it), the obvious Bunny hopping still has complaints even though its been around so long, also new players might enjoy it. Transitioning? water fighting movements, ray priortization etc. Not sure what else
There's plenty to cover, and I for one am glad you are doing so a bit. Some ideas: Melee transitions and styles-jousting, stickyback etc. How to avoid the same/squirreling Baiting and provoking certain weapon swaps or spell casts
Teach people how to get out of a sticky thats a good fucking lesson tbh --- Post updated --- I suffer from sticky me syndrome
Video on how to get out of melee effectively, escape a sticky back and how to help a teammate who is getting stickied. That would go a long way to helping newer players enjoy PVP without getting .5'd every fight.
When to heal, when to peel, how to parry up, survival skills, ways to improve awareness during fights. Try to think about the things that separate good players from bad ones and try to break down in simple terms how less experienced or less skilled players can start closing the gap. A lot of being good in FPS games is knowing little tricks. Most people pick them up without realizing it but some people need to have things shown or explained.
The proper etiquette of combat looting Cross Healing and Blinding Spatial Awareness, Group play Wall of force could have its own episode
I feel like the way you presenting these videos too appear cool and big up yourself rather then be informative and constructive in guiding a new or lesser player. Just the feeling I got, but take nothing away it's good info for a new or lesser player.
Rex... cover leaving your whirlwind behind for a target... cover erasing the whirlwind graphic... cover a maximum conversion cycle for a destroyer... and for a mage... Somehow show a delay in hitbox and adjustment to aim to do this... Your strafing vid is good... but I would have put W in the rotation... all of this I have showed individually to new players like 50x over in beta... videos would be good... and then once u make all the short individual clips, compile them. edit - Show the delay in swing registry and how you can "Joust" even with a gsword though more difficult. Also show that swinging your crosshair past the target too fast causes the hit to register on the other side of the target completely missing a swing that if you moved your cross hair more fluidly and less jerky would hit. ***The biggest thing you can show in a video is how to test your max range in melee, and how you should always be meleeing at this camera angle.
You should do a video on the do's and dont's of combat comms For example... Rule #1. NEVER yell "Let's Gooo!" after getting a kill unless you want to sound like a pretentious autist
