I dont remember city buffs being so retardely OP on df1.
Was it buffed in any way on RoA?
Definitely got broken somehow with all these combat changes.
Just cast a stam to health every other spell during a duel and you literally can't run out of health.
i think food + city reagains stacks now, in dfo it didnt
it should be removed or extended to allies.
i prefer removed anyways.
I agree. Towers are good enough to at least give the defenders a way of knowing where the enemies are.
right now city buff give
.5 all magic resist
.5 all physical resist
.3 hp regen
.3 mana regen
.3 stam regen
the problem is clearly the stats regen.
the stats regen needs to be completely remove or greatly reduce.
u sure about magic/physical protections? i think its even more than .5...
whit regen and food its like having 2 fried onion up
Attacking someone inside their city buff range SHOULD be hard though. Newbs, bads, and casuals need these advantages if u ever want RoA to have a real population with less turnover
The solution isn't to make city camping pvp raids easier, but to get the people inside to come outside more and have to farm shit/ go to villages or something in order to pay upkeep for the city
i think u didnt get the point here. its seems dif than it was on df1. its op atm.
and also u dont need to go outside because u can basically buy gold or only leave ur city with 10 guys to zerg vcp
No I absolutely get the point... city raiding and camping was too easy in DF1. I probably made tons of people quit by raiding their city so easily, effectively, and often.
And to your second point I agree there are NOT enough reasons or incentives to get kids to leave the city right now, hence we need more to FORCE them to come out both in small numbers and large.
The game is fundamentally broken and your suggestion only treats a sympton (while potentially adding a new one) NOT the underlying problem

raid cities should be encouraged.. if ure not able to hold ur city and defend urself u can live ur gamelife inside any npc city.
I haven't tested it in a while but if I remember correctly DnD had 2-3 damage reduction from city buffs, don't know what RoA has.

DND removed Arcane jewellery, making raiding cities very much harder. Not sure about the 2-3 prot, but the towers were killers. It was not the finest of the changes they made, for sure.
i think also with combat changes people are tankier (at least lower back damage means less .5ing in my experience) which means that not only is each point of health worth more, but youre fighting in city buffs for longer
this is also part of why destros are so insanely op in city buffs
Remove. Dueling is what cities are used for. City buffs ruins that most of the time.

Good luck sieging cities when the defenders get 1km city buffs.
It absolutely is crazy dumb atm. And people wonder why a large portion of defiance siege force are dragon destros.
