Yes df combat is too much like df2012 and i get owned way too often. Please make these great changes so the vets can adapt to new meta and continue to own me:
1. Make confusion last an entire minute
2. Make wof auto disable whoever is stuck in it
3. Make magma and fire all knock up twice as high so they take 90 fall damage and sprain
4. Make wearing heavy armor pull you to the bottom of the ocean floor
5. Make your crosshair wobble if your character is moving
6. Make a new class called noob that i can spec into and take 50% less damage based on my iq
reintroduce indestructible if you remove archery when active

you already playing indestructeble,25 dmg rays to fp set is absurd.
bring back old 60 damage to back and 40 to face.
Has anyone considered how a decade of combat tweaks hasn't done anything for darkfall?
im still hoping for some company to figure out the simplest strategy: leave the best and most enjoyable combat of any game alone and instead put the effort into developing the most lacking aspect of DF compared to any game...content

yeah skillbased non target aim game is not about gear. but they going to remove plate chest and blackbolt meta...so they doing completly wrong things.
there is nothing wrong to being strong in shit gear. its all about aim,hits/misses,but not magnitude dnd-style armor lol.
New Dawn offered something like that through the use of gear type giving you almost like a class system. The problem is that all the fun combat skills are in magic. Playing a melee, archer, or rogue that can only whirlwind or disabling blow doesn't sound like much fun. I'm all for more diversity, but I imagine that creating new combat skills would take a lot of time for the dev team.
