Yup sounds good. I don't know how there are vets that have seen all the iterations of darkfall and fail to realize a periodic wipe is necessary to keep the game active and fresh. People achieve all their goals and log out. New players are faced with a nearly insurmountable wealth gap and take an ass beating at every corner if they dare try to overcome it. The character gap was solved, but that alone isn't enough. As for the combat changes debate, it can take place another time. There are far more pressing matters that must have development resources dedicated to them. It's appalling how much was already invested in things that provided no valuable return. I'm pretty sure I recall BPG making a statement around the start that went something like "we won't mess with the core of darkfall's combat, we'll focus on adding content." It's time to hold them to that promise. Devaluing armor is not the solution. If armor isn't valuable and scarce, nobody farms, removing activity/content from the world. The current village rewards are obviously a joke removing any reason to ever go farm stuff. But this is also a function of population obviously, one person spending 5 minutes to cap a village in a plate chest and getting rewarded 30k gold and selentine is way different than if the game was active and 30 different people were gunning for the rewards.
