Let's go over a few things (SC) = Self Cast Debuff-Counter Tongue Rot-Adept(SC) Melee Slow-Melee Haste Ranged Slow-Ranged Haste OH LOOK NON-MAGES GET SHAFTED, WHAT A SURPRISE. Unlike mages they can't selfcast the thing to counteract the debuff and the melee and ranged slows last for like 5 minutes so you either have a panacea or you're fucked.
FWIW, Adept doesn't completely counter tongue rot, Melee Haste and Range host both completely overpower the debuff to the point of still being good buffs. But yes, I see your point.
The only way to balance the tides is to make spell haste a buff other but you buff other people by smacking them in the ass with your melee wepon.
