too many holdings in game.
u guys should remove like 60% of this to make viable the competition
idk why you had the change the combat, it was fine all along and was the only decent thing about the game tbh.
all you had to do was nerf Pmist and Eyerot lol and it was happy days, the community never cared about combat changes we wanted something to do, when you have 3 full banks by 3 months in and not a single person to kill in open world pvp then it becomes a issue.
I thought about removing them from lawful areas when we made the changes, but I can't imagine it going over well.
Everything looks really good for sure. I am excited to maybe come back and play. But, one thing for sure is combat. It is actually pretty bad. AOE and WOF cool down making spell reflect super annoying and stupid. Not having a destroyer class is lame. TTK being so high makes it almost impossible to fight outnumbered. Before you could win 1v2's or 5v8's in group fights. I really hope maybe this Q&A you guys will accept that most of the community thinks these changes are bad. For changing combat, for sure some of the changes were good such as self buffs. We will see if we can get some of these " Community Patches" going on. Good work on the other stuff.

I’ll be more constructive this time around...
You removed Specializations without implementing an alternative. I was actually enjoying playing indestructible just because it was something different. I quit the game on the spot when you removed the entire way I played without offering something else. I have no intention of returning to be honest unless the situation changes accordingly. You had the platform at your disposal to create more diversity. Building upon specializations would’ve been ideal instead of reinventing the wheel With relics. However it doesn’t seem like you intend make those happen either. You claim to want diversity in combat, yet your steps moving forward were to normalize R90s among other things. Literally the opposite.
You could’ve easily added more roles like destroyer. A support role that does more heal other magnitude or unlocks buff others at the cost of DPS magnitude. Something simple of that nature to give uniqueness to a player while still letting them be open to all aspects of the game.
You continue to say you will be moving forward, not looking back. Why remove what worked prior? Reimplement destroyer/mage killer etc and just increase overall protections on armor to raise TTK. Revert back damage but lower overall magnitude of damage. Keep it simple, stupid.
I still optimistically visit these forums in hopes you turn this combat shit show around. not all hope lost, just don’t be stubborn. Stick with what worked.

this is a really good topic i would like to see the ability to create multiple characters on the same account and only being able to log in one character at a time ., find a way to block multiple accounts on the same PC., people will still find away around and few people will do it ., right now every single player can have multiple accounts and play them all at the same time ., when the game goes free to play i dread finding a 1v1 then having to fight a chain of alts running out of a wall one at a time ., i don't have the answer to this but something should be done.

Its not impossible to make everyone happy, its just improbable.
I would say that makes two fools ., now if you had a clue you would know that screaming revert combat in all caps is not helping anything ., I think people are starting to get it, they are posting there ideas more and there demands less ., I can give you an example ., Some fat ass that's been eating the same whopper for 10 years doesn't like the new sauce so he screams at the waiter and says you don't even eat here how would you know whats best ., little does he know that the waiter just shit in his shamrock shake

I quit when they changed combat. I have zero intention of coming back until the combat changes are reverted. ZERO. I don't care what other changes you implement or how much you improve the game. Changing combat so drastically was a direct betrayal of this game and its community. Instead of doing things the right way BPG pulled an AV on us. I lost all faith in the project and all trust in BPG with that move. You guys (BPG) want to know one weird trick to not run this game into the ground? Start listening and quit thinking you know better than all of us.
You can only demand something over and over until you realize that doing the same thing over and over without results is the definition of insanity.
BPG are free to try what ever they want, but I play games that Act so that I can React.
I wont buy a half finished books where the author asks for suggestions on what to write into the book.
If your vision is so narrow and your confidence so poor that you need to have a vote tell you how to do your job, then people learn that screaming for what they want is the only way to make a difference.
Darkfall has and always will fail because everyone who touches gets frustrated by the sheer complexity of it.
BPG made a lot of progress by ripping the game apart and adding simplicity, but it is the complexity of the game that gives it, its charm.
The success of this game is a paradox. A paradox has no right or wrong answers. Reverting combat would be both the right and wrong answer.
Right because its what many people demand, and wrong because it gets in the way of adding a more complex perk system.
Also you never want to violate the health code, that could land your ass with a Felony stripping your right to vote, own firearms, and land you in jail for 5-10 years. You would be better off slipping cyanide into the drink because attempted murder or even murder has a less severe punishment.
I think holdings are another topic that should be discussed. I had posted a detailed idea for starter cities being holdings and all the benefits that come along with it. Probably got discarded due to it maybe not working with upcoming TC. But it had alot of good ideas and ways to fix factions. But ya...to many holdings...maybe capital cities is the way to go..can only port to other cities and are force to bind in capital cities. Make capital cities only main land.
If they bring back haste, i'm gone; back to climbing on league of legends. Iron skin may not be as bad tho. I'm not against buff others, but haste was toxic.

Id be fine with buff others if they lasted say 20 seconds and were half as powerful - just a small buff to promote teamwork
I'd be fine with any new content or sand in the box...
Can't wait for you guys to get the in-game voting system implemented so I can use my 1 day to login and check YES to Revert Combat - No self-buffs.

WTF was so hard with:
Fire Mage Specialization
- 20% increased fire damage
- 10% decreased all other damage outputs
Give em some fucking firey robes and call it a day. Congrats RPers get their kicks.
