At the risk of diving too far into the weeds, wouldn't you say that 50 herring to make one mid-tier dye is a little much, especially given all the other somewhat ridiculous requirements?
PS: I realize this is not something that was added with this patch, but rather something that was not fixed with it.
i ran out of herring and got tired begging around for it. the herring requirement is ridiculous. they basically do NOT want us to dye our gear.
Why don’t you go out and farm instead of crying about everything
Crog slime drop rate doesn't appear to be any better. 18 crogs on Ruby, one slime.
Might be just bad luck, that's a tiny sample size.
It only drops in lawful areas.
I got one, so maybe it only drops a really little bit. But I guess my question is: Why???
--- Post updated ---
I would think that might be the case if the drop rate was only supposed to be about 10%, but I was hoping they were taking the issue seriously and making it more like 25, in which case my sample size should have been pretty decent. In any case, I'll test it on the main island.
All of this begs the question: for items like this where drop rate is a real issue for discussion, why not just tell us what it is so we can discuss that, rather than having players waste hours testing it (when they could be testing real issues, or just enjoying the game)? Players will figure it out anyway, and the more interested they are in the topic, the faster they will do so.
That's not true, I got 2 out of 4 Crogs by the one by Alberworth. And that is a Lawless zone
And if it is like that, that's horrible. If anything, it should be an increased drop rate in the lawless areas and reduced in the lawful. I mean come on....
It’s not true at all I get it a bunch from lawless areas
