    I think I still have to go back and kill Kobolds... probably never going to do it. Bone Exarachs are on my list, killed like 50+ Dark Dragons and at least 15-20 Fire Dragons. My clan mates got together and went to ruby, said it took them 2.5 hours to kill them on cooldown lol... Fuck.

    It is for sure. I wouldn't mind starting the bonuses/penalties out small and gradually tweaking them. Even if balance gets messed up a bit I think a lot of people will be more entertained having choices to make, hopefully BPG can stay on top of combat balance better than AV did :p

    • Deployable Player Vendor mechanics are the primary focus
    • Over 100 new tasks with character titles and loot for rewards
    • Unlocking Champion spawn chests and applicable rewards
    • Character Alteration Token mechanics for race changes
    • Releasing Founder’s Blade to all Legendary Pack owners
    1) Biggest fear for me is these being killed to the point of having them be useless. (*deploys vendor*, suddenly it's now a huge target and everyone around it knows what it's carrying to sell and makes the vendor a target for free loot. Making these things a robber's window shopping spree.)
    2) When the last task update released I did 1 and a half of all the tasks released. I did Kobolds since I had a spawn in safe distance to where I live, and I did the first tier of giant slayer then didn't bother doing ogre bosses.
    My time was WELL better spent actively farming something with higher monetary value to spend that gold on med points, rather then go back and kill monsters that are Tier1-3 of the first week of launch that I was killing.... Extremely huge waste of time and decided to totally disregard tasks as farming mobs was just a better option for efficiency. Most likely the system won't change unless you guys at BPG have already fixed it for these "100 tasks". But frankly I'm a skeptic and I feel like it's 20 tasks x5. Meaning each task of the set of 20 has 5 tiers equaling 100 total tasks.
    3) So champion spawns will be properly fixed now?
    4) Don't really see this as a design road map subject. More as a "letting us know", it will be ready in July. It's a service that MOST(keyboard most, not all) have these days. Shouldn't be on a design road map for overall content to a game. Race changes aren't content for a roadmap. Should be sidenoted at the bottom of the list as "hey guys, we're finally getting to releasing the services for $$".
    5) *twirls index finger in the air*

    August
    • Deployable Control Tower mechanics are the primary focus
    • Identity Alteration Token mechanics for name changes
    1) "What are thoooooooooooose!?!?!?"
    2) Same as #4 from July's statement.

    September
    • Armor and weapon dye mechanics are the primary focus

    Overall I'm kinda disappointed. I'm glad were finally going to get player vendors released to us, but I hope they're not a disaster and become useless to risk your goods you want to sell. Which would still make having an alt as a red player the current "meta" for good trading practices. I know you guys promised more tasks along with daily/weekly/monthly tasks to the system. But unless their done right to not waste my time from actual GOOD mob spawns it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Making me go to older spawns that have terrible loot just to get the afk training resource "meditation points" from the reward of tasks. Time is well better spent farming for the gold to buy it then spending hours on easy spawns that only give a couple hundred med points when you finish the task. Only when you get to the last few tiers of a task is when it might break 1000 points or so to deem it "worthy". But at that point to finish that task depending on the kill amount can still be seen as a waste of time. ie. I can kill 4-5 Thaineguards and receive the amount of gold that I'd get from a tier4/5 task reward, just from gold drops alone, not including the essence they drop to sell or enchanting mats. And champion spawns aren't new news, they've been out, the rewards just have been meh to the time and effort of how many people you need to bring to a spawn to finish it. Unless everyone there is willing to donate all the rewards to the clan bank, the time spent there when loot is divided is laughable at best, so it's great that it's getting fixed, but again no NEW content, just fixes to old content. I hope the control towers are to somewhat how I or other peoples thoughts/suggestions were. Some control point to assault/defend for some kind of gain in the end. That will be a great addition to the PvP that the game needs right now for more fights.
    Lastly all the stuff I didn't mention aka the services for $$ (Race/Name change) should of been noted as a side note letting us know they're coming. They're not particularly something you had to put on a design road map for Q3. Most games have such services, putting them on a DESIGN roadmap is kinda a insult to me I feel, I don't know about anyone else. Services for the players that are OPTIONAL are not content for design. It's nice to know these things are coming since I know plenty of people will race change but just wrong way to present it. The legendary pack and armor/weapon dyes, it's customization but at this point being so early from launch I'd really rather see in the 3rd month that's on the table is maybe balance changes, "spec" changes, or of the sort. If not that then at least the talks of adding more PvE options then what is given already. Because if the CT(control tower) patch goes over well, then PvP will be injected with life for awhile. But by the 3rd month I'd think at least something with more body would be worked on.. not dyes.... dyes are a weak attempt to make us feel like we're all different. But guess what, we're not; we're all going to have the same armor still, and most likely, like every other MMO people will dye there stuff black/white with a accent color to black/white. I know the "dye" game, it's the same in every MMO, and the outliers will be people making themselves look like rainbows, really ugly color combos, or genuine color combos outside the norm of "black/red" or "white/gold".

    I was hoping for a little more "punch" in the content to come. I remember listening to a interview from a podcast Coolit did that my vet friend showed me since I never played DF before. My friend showed me this podcast interview to get me interested, and to show me that you guys have some cool ideas to put in to make the game different then it was from DFO. But it's going on the 3rd month now(July), being that these first two months have been rough with server issues, the housing update that did no one but the extreme grinders/no-lifers any good. And next month with tasks and champion spawn chest fix that other then the fix isn't anything new. Fixing the loot won't make me go there every day or any more frequent then I do now. And CT being a month away even pushes me even farther. Less reason to log in till a month later? Go through the same task system all over again and player vendors with no clues on how they work. Too many variables for me. My expectations from that interview was this game was some amazing open world PVP game I was missing out on. All this content or lack of might've been fine back in 09' when I didn't have a job in highschool to nolife it back then. But today I don't have the time and would like stuff to do when I log on to play. Telling me tasks and champ chests are enough is laughable, just to wait another month for a PvP update that we have no clue how good that will be. I'm not going to play the other version, or come back, I'm just going to let DF as a whole die as it was intended too. Maybe it died for a reason because the systems in place from AV don't really allow for extreme modifications.

    You're working with a skeleton and trying to bring it back to life with no organs. At the same time trying to make it walk and talk using full sentences. That's a lot to ask from a skeleton.

    Good luck BPG, hopefully you can hang on and make RoA work, I truly do and so do many others. But unless you grew up on this game it just doesn't hold it for me. I loved the grind for 1 month since I love classic MMO's. But other then the grind and boring systems in place as content(tasks) there isn't much else to do. Yes you can PvP, but you can only PvP/duel so much before you get bored, or have a bad losing streak and have to replenish your gear which goes back to the endless grind statement. <3 <3 <3

    So no sandbox content, great. Only cashshop items and some tweaks to the game, basically nothing that makes me login back in to the game.

    In no particular order:

    Please fix alignment, red = red and blue=blue
    give an option on party merging or the option to exclude someone from party,
    fix the need for an alt to trade, (auction house?)
    Fix endless bunny hopping,
    balance instant teleportation, its a bit too much imo. Remove some short distance portals.
    Add siege invulnerability time on holdings so EU and NA clans can set the worst time for them activity wise as invulnerable
    Add action queing. I still get stuck on weapons, its tiresome.

    Other than that I am still really happy you fixed the server lag, yesterday we were in a siege with 100+ people and it was absolute playable.

    Content wise, it's sadly not fast enough or just wrong focus to keep people staying, imo.
    Personally, what might eventually kill it for me are the spawns being so god damn tedious when you get to a certain point. When you solo farm 2x golem spawns and have to wait 10-12 mins for another to spawn? That is to me a bit rough, since I am probably just better of running around mining iron ore all day for better income or ore drops. (and that dude that says that every spawn shouldn't be worth farming...stay out of this thread.)

    After the vendors I think progression needs to speed up a little. Start basing priorities on ratio of highest value for less amount of effort. I don't know what kind of work goes into dye for gear. Might be basic color coding for you? But if it means that you need to copy pasta each armor set for each race for each color, unless you got someone's son to do that work for you, I wouldn't bother. That kind of job get you as a developer on sudoku mood. Spawns still need tweaking, dungeons still need tweaking, some really horrendous bugs needs fixing.

    I believe in you, but please, you kind of need to hurry because I think people are getting less reasons to get online.

    this update indeed and the focus on stuff that are really more fluff and dont add anything to the fun of game, is not gonna cut for upcoming months

    Without any drastic changes to game.. everyone will get bored or is already getting currently.

    The task system is nice for new players but this should have been in from the begining.

    Deployable player vendors add's up nothing when the current loot system and tables are complete shit still.

    wanne known mine roadmap?

    - finalize is small problems
    - add reason to pvp. increasing value holding by adding a territory control system.
    - make adjustments to indestructble and add more archery skils like volley/ice arrow or whatever you come up with
    - finish spawn scaling
    - toot tables should be finished
    - add more specialisations like a healer/buff spec..
    - guild capes should be added ( this is fluff aswell) but adds alot of feeling to the game

    If this is all you got BPG its prolly checkmate for you in couple of months

    Cool stuff all around! Id love to see a different IG map also, UW style. Everyone already use the website one so why not have it IG (Guess it will come in an UI update?) But overall good stuff.

    Basically why I quit. I lurk on forums now mainly hoping for a change but the roadmap is a joke, might just forget about roa completely and check back in 4-6 months if by some miracle it hasn't died yet.

    And yet people tell me I'm crazy for having the same issues, meanwhile I'm watching my friend get ready to quit the game, which means I'll likely be leaving. Hopefully it won't come to that but it's not looking good. I don't think it's too much to ask to have a little variety, this is literally the lowest amount of variety of any mmo I've ever played.
