What will be the point of having 1000 alignment after this patch? There's no mention of alignment other than to give away for free the end goal of gaining alignment.
IMO increasing gains substantially is missing the point entirely. The grind is not so bad it's the tedium in between that is the problem. Pencil thin profit margins being a big issue. You constantly have to bank for fear of losing all your work. The time that takes is immense. Shit load more wilderness banks would make that 10x better add a reg vendor while you are at it and make the grind life considerably easier. The insane amount of regs you need and various type so regs just to get anywhere compounds the problem. Just make it 3 regs for everything and make spells use less of them. A global market will help get regeared. That is another issue. Last time I logged in I had 0 gold in the bank I had been farming for a little while had like 3k + lots of junk to sell.. Enough to buy more regs and sustain my grind.. I was recalling when someone heard me and came to kill me. They won I died.. You lose motivation to continue when you are literally starting from scratch. (in b4 get gud) That's the part of the grind that fucking sucks. If there was a super close wilderness bank with reg vendor I would not have had to recall. Shit the mob spawn was a good 10 minutes ride. So even if I didn't die just for me to be safe I had to waste 20+ minutes banking and buying more regs. That's just one example of the tediousness of the grind. There are plenty of others.. Now though you just speed them up you completely negate any sense of accomplishment. What little RPG value there is in the game is basically gone. Not that skilling up added any value to the game as is and certainly some things needed tweaking.. like the fact that you have to skill up useless spells to get to the good stuff.. Give people all spells on day 1.. just let us start working on our build right out of the gates.. I realize there needs to be gold sinks, but that's where more content comes in.. put gold sinks into shit that makes sense not just added tedious for the sake of tedium. Just changing skill up feels rushed and still doesn't solve the core problems. Focus on the core issues and see if that makes the overall experience better before you just willy nilly jack with the time to end game.

I really do like the sound of this patch, I don't have the time i used to so this patch allows me to play the game again. I think people see these gains and bug out because they are used to grinding for weeks and then having a serious advantage over people. Thing people have to understand is a game shouldn't be defined by the grind. The grind doesn't make the game. the people and content do so having a small grind is fine in my book as long as there are lots of stuff to do once its done. I do have on concern though, since everything is getting a boost i would like to believe there will be a nerf to the loot we can get other wise the market is gonna be flooded and gold will lose its value. also with the gains coming so fast i think there needs to be a focus on brand new players coming in so they understand how to use everything. I think Lord Zanuul had a great idea with a Noob island that walks you through shit then has you build a raft to get off and then a Kraken comes destroys your raft and kills you and then you spawn in Agon. Idk he is the master mind behind it but i do agree that with fast gains new players will need to be shown what everything is good for and how to use it.

At least for DF1 there was a pretty good sized population boom following the skillgain weekend. Alough it was much harder to level back then. Most people finished their chars in RoA, so it would mostly effect new players.

Good to know. Still feels like a massive nerf to 1k alignment and if cool down is the only reason to grind alignment then no thanks, never grinding alignment.
I don't know how you could be upset about the patch at all. I'm not thrilled about grind speed because I'm already finished, but that doesn't make me think negatively about it.
game is not serious when you can level up your char in 15 hours,df was my life,but when everyone get eveyrthing for free then its shit
Nobody said anything about getting everything for free. Character development that determines an outcome of PVP fight should not be a grind. Especially when the outcome of that fight results in the loss of all of your items. The goal is to get characters to a pvp viable state relatively quickly. The grind for player skill takes long enough there is no need for artificial barriers in the way as well. For gear we provide the means to acquire medium to low level gear at a reasonable rate so it's not completely devastating when you do lose your gear.
thats the problem tho. past the grind this game has 0 content. literally 0. in regular mmos the game really just starts after you hit max lvl and got gear. in this game as it stands now its over then. sure you can pvp but what for, other then loot and funsies? there is nothing meaningful outside of sieges which are kinda dropped out of boredom rather than anything else atm cos politics are non existent.
they want to cut almost all passive skills and trueforge,lol how can you even talk with them(bpg) after this.It was so big pleasure to level up mastery,sharpshoter,archmage...crafting skills.They only know how to cut the best game of all times.BPG is a monkeys with a scissors and they will fail anyway after this patch.
