    Yes more people on the pad at one time will speed up the process.

    At this time we're thinking 20-30 minutes uncontested, it kind of seems like a long time to me, but at the same time we would like to give time for others to arrive and fight over it. The max timer will be 1 hour, so if a few groups are fighting over it it wont last longer than that unless it goes into sudden death overtime. Of course ALL these timers can and will be adjusted as necessary. It will be up to you guys, the players, to decide the best time frames and we wont know for certain without playing it.

    Try 5 minutes uncontested.

    Villages go live with plenty of warning. If people are actually interested in capping them, they will be there.

    Yeah who knows, maybe 5 minutes uncontested with a 30 minute max timer is the sweet spot. We'll know more when we can actually play it. Also I'll likely be adding a bit of info to the world map like the current high score for that village so people will have an idea if they have time to make it or not.

    20-30 minutes would probably lead solo people (and nakeds) to claim the village pad, wait for the timer to start and go hide and alt tab while waiting for someone to contest. Not sure if that's what you want.

    Like I said we can adjust it, but they would just lose it anyway.

    Yeah I know, i've never been a fan of king of the hill. With how many movement spells there are in game as well, I feel like you would absolutely have to kill anyone nearby before attempting to capture it. So the act of capturing it could be anything really. I thought blowing up points with battlespikes was actually fun tbh. I enjoyed the visual and audial feedback.

    Is it possible to give alliance members personal loot aswell? Right now there is no reason for me (besides possible PvP) to cap a VCP with alliance members as I dont get anything of the pie.

    Village rewards will be divided among the members of the party and will go directly into their banks.
    I'm assuming that means it will be party rewards now.

    Ya we're also making alliances into entity like clans
    • Require mutual consent.
    • Cost to create an alliance entity.
    • Requires application like joining a clan.

    Correct, the thinking is we split the gold between the party members, clan no longer gets a piece automatically and we add a clan tax option for clans to set.

    We're also looking to improve the loot tables to have some nice rare goodies as well as a bump in gold. Villages are going to tie into territory control and gold upkeep is going to be needed for control towers. An expansive network will need defending from Raiders as well as Gold and Energy Shards to power the various structures planned.

    What kind of loot would you guys like to see from these village captures?

    Well KOTH is not really an original mechanic it's been in FPS games since their existence. This isn't really KOTH either it's more of a domination type game mode that was in Call of Duty and ton's of other FPS games. You cap the control point and move on you don't need to be stationary in the control point.

    will be cool if, the party or the clan that win have the bindspot until next village capture fight. Or a usefull structure in that village to defend until next village capture fight.

    Pretty much already here. I have to admit that I have capped a lot of villages naked with just a siege hammer and/or Pinnace. I have only been killed twice in 40+ village caps. So, from a personal benefit standpoint, drawing more people to VCP is not in my best interest. However, I think that for the good of the game, changes are needed. Siege hammers and ships are artificial barriers that only allow more advanced players to participate. If more people can get involved in group activities and benefit, all the better. I kind of see this being like a DOTA type change to village captures. A good next step would be if a clan/individual hold enough villages in a region they should get a small regional benefit.

    Material rewards should include
    100% gold, regs, limestone/mahogany, rare ores/ingots and enchanting mats (Q2 to Q5 of the good ones (no fucking bone, shadowcrest or hoarfrost) and at least 5 of the higher quality but more of a lower quality would be good too).
    Keys and maps would be a nice rare drop as well as enchanted gems. Cosmetics if you ever add them. Runestones & Nexus Entrances/Exits. Warhulk/Ship Modules. Cannons.

    Loot is nice but eventually will become less and less interesting to people so villages should grant other benefits too. Spitballing some ideas here:

    • If you own a house at the village and you captured the VCP your house should have increased capacity for 24 hours
    • The ability to bind at a captured VCP for 12-24 hours as either a replacement of capital recall (if red) or a 3rd bind spot if blue. 30 minute cooldown.
    • Temporary buffs (nothing OP)
    • Titles
    • And so on
