I'm against floating combat text, but i want floating public text. Combat text can work if it only applies with direct hits. AOE's would be abused more with this. As for the full loot thing, in newb area, i'd rather see loot going back to the owner if no one loots them.
Nice!!! I think combat is in a decent spot now. Last combat things I would like to see is: Take ice storm off the current aoe shared cool down put it like you had it before. Eye rot should be 45 second timer / make Pungeant instant cast. Lessen the gap between tier 3 enchants and tier 5 make it 1 more damage per level. Reduce all damage by 10 percent and its perfect.
I need more information on "protection jewelry" before I can decide on that. Everything else looks phenomenal, aside from the lack of poker tables and shark mounts. -Edit. I cannot type in the text fields to submit my email address.
Honestly I think number one priority needs to be gearbag/enchantment making tool. A lot of people like the game, have played it before, and know its the best combat of any game out there, and will pop into it, but are too lazy to make a complete bag, its either put on a scrub bag, or you have to literally spend like 15 minutes crafting and organizing a complete bag. I am a shitty player, and can easily lose a few bags in an hour to pvp if the game is hot. There are some tricks to making bags, and enchanting them, but they are scattered, and for a new player not even on their radar, and a lot of current fanbase is old and lazy, and would rather get insta queues in battlegrounds than play "get your kid ready for school" simulator just to be able to go out and fight. jman
The items we place into these polls will be things we can implement in 1-3 days out of every week and we’ll work on larger pieces for the rest. This gives us something we can patch on a weekly/biweekly basis. We run these polls to gauge interest and then we’ll run another poll to get the order of preference.
This is something that could be a great moneymaker for the devs. Like I said most of the current fanbase is old and lazy, but have jobs, and money to waste, they just already have their 26 slot runebooks, and any other cash shop items they need. Custom Tabards, Sails for ships (like Archeage), Clan flags, either at cities, or placeable ones for events silly shit like different colored armor. I would have even bought the purple sword shit if I didn't think it was ugly as sin. In the end it also gives people something else to do besides just play the game we have loved for going on a decade, re-implement or pull the trigger on ACT initiative https://www.riseofagon.com/news/official-updates/dev-update-and-act-initiative-feb-10-2018/ --- Post updated --- I totally get what you are saying brother, and I understand that the thread is about short fixes you can make quickly with the tools you have at your disposal. What I was saying is that making a gearbag making tool or even consolidating information about how to make complete bags will not only bring back, or maintain a player base, but also retain new players who check out the game. Maintain and retain are problems with this game that are becoming more and more of an issue lately. That being said, I will play this game till it dies or I do
Please add floating public text, global chat, race chat, etc.. toggleable. Please hire a volunteer to work on NPE popups, or add a few things each patch, so NPE is constantly improving/evolving. Please endorse a community ran wiki page. Ty
I would say just start banging everything on that list out and release 1 a week if you can do them that quickly.
I'm surprise VCP's were not even on that list when we've talked about it. Yesterday, we capped many VCP's and we haven't found 1 soul. It's really hard to stay motivated to play when you don't even play when ever you do. And for some reason, rank 4 rewards for VCP's has been shit when it used to be decent before. Maybe i've really been unlucky lately.
They where shit for me other week but past 2 days been good idk seems random af New dawn made them worth doing every day since you needed the med points for your char and to keep your holdings may be something to look into
What things do you guys think we need to touch for npe? I know alot of you have had friends who have tried the game and didn't get past the first week.
^^ Definitely. Emblems, Tabards, Capes, Colors.... something creative that clans can use to distinguish themselves from others on each character.
Sounds like a PM giving up and let the userbase just run the project. I feel like most of the features that have been added to the game could have been done in a more cost-effective way and in a better order, either way: 1) enchanting: It's astonishing to me that enchanting has not yet converted like any other crafting skills, especially if you think that all the items are already there, you just have to craft enchanted stones. 2) single armor piece working as a full set: on equip the chestpiece you can dynamically create the rest of the equip => create a new bone armor chest piece, change the description to "full mage armor", and on equip spawn 2 fp + bone. partially implemented sample: there you go, with those 2 easy things you removed all the tediusness, have a base for new armor set (no need for a tailoring mastery), no need for a "making gear bag" button, you can add skin on top of that (just sell an additional material required to craft a set in a specific color), etc... other than that: - free weekends forever - treasure maps should place a marker on the map showing a radius where the treasure could be - refill bank button for reagents/potions/arrows etc.. - new crafting receipt to turn lesser elemental to greater elemental and turn greater magic essense into fire essence, etc... - teleport between race cities, alliance owned city or just repurpose the equip that you have: - heavy armor set: -20% dmg received - medium armor set: +20% dmg to enemy with staff - fire leather armor set: -20% cooldown to fire spells, +10% dmg to fire spells - healer/buffer light armor set: ... etc... etc.. etc... The community patch is a laugh, sorry to say but what you need is a new PM, not a userbase with no developer experience dictating what to do next
Theres always ppl on new dawn in most or all vcp's; i can confirm that. --- Post updated --- Cap recall for all 6 capitals. Starter runebook pack with 8 pshards in it. Simple tips and simple in-game tricks to teach players how to kill specific mobs and how to clear a whole spawn solo/grouped. The tips you get on loading screen should randomly appear in your chat channel with more tips added.
getting a feedback is different than letting the players choose what to do next, and I just feel that the choosed list is kind of irrelevant except for the buff others part which is a rollback (much appreciated btw)
everyone has an opinion. You either like an idea or you don't and if enough people like an idea it will get passed along to the next phase. If not enough people like an idea we'll skip it and maybe revisit it another time. If you feel the choices are irrelevant then so be it, you don't have to vote. Not everyone will be appeased at every turn.
