Bias to me how? It’s about judging player interest on ideas. Some of those ideas come from the community just like always, but that’s neither here nor there. It’s all about gauging the interest of players on topic prior to implementing them.

It’s a community poll. The community vote on that list. Not sure what part of that is misleading. As for the other post there are legal issues with that.
... I get crap from the community if I ask for input I get crap from the community if I don't ask for input. While I do agree sometimes the community does not really know what it wants. Other times id like input on specific short comings.
don't know what to say.. to me the game was 2 steps from glory at the pivotal moment, don't know what happened from then but every step has been a step in the wrong direction. There is an entire population of people who want combat changes, that think that the game "needs more diversity" that I never met. Half the stuff on this list MWtaylor or another one of the BPG members put in our mouths, no one asked for 'no loot in lawful areas'. That's what he wants. He brought it up. Waste of time if all you guys are going to do is force your changes on us, but hey, you guys know best.. right? You know more than we ever will. I also like how we don't get to see the results of the poll, that's pretty cool. Oh, I logged in the other day also to test the combat changes. You made greatclubs useless again, made dragon armor worthless, made the cheapest armor in the game (fullplate) the most useful - lowest encumb for most protection), and made it so there is very little point in using cobras over blackbolts again while not changing the cost of blackbolts. Once again, you proved you have no idea what you are doing when it comes to combat changes. Nothing I am saying above is toxic either before you try to pull that card again, if you think its toxic im sorry you can't handle reality. Good luck with your further changes.

We'll post the results of the polls, we used the forms because it was better for putting in the multiple questions instead of having different individual posts for each individual item. We'll leave it up for a week and we'll post the results with a ranking poll next week. All the ideas there were ones suggested by the community, if the community doesn't want an idea than let the votes decide it. There's a very common perception problem among the DF community because there's a LOT of feedback we get that isn't always from the loudest sources. The polls are a way to gauge the interest on each item suggested by the community and we selected these items based on ability to quickly implement them and ones that will successfully integrate with the game and future direction. While we do look to the community for feedback as we strive to be listening to our players we always have to chart a specific course or else we'll just move in all directions the same way the DF community has opinions in all directions on most items. Here is how a voted and why. Champion of the Day No - Only a handful of people fight the champs and they probably have a way to cheese it. Also drawing a target on your back is a retarded idea in open world PvP. Remove/Reduce Screen Shake Yes - This is just dumb and makes you sick if you get hit with it enough. The entire magic system should be overhauled and designed so that every player can approach and use magic uniquely. After playing Divinity I'm becoming a really big fan of Magic Shields and Armor Shields that can absorb damage but need skills and resources to repair that have longer cool downs. Trade Route Enhancements Yes - Loosing connection is an instance loose for people this needs to be changed, the route itself is too long it takes 45 min to complete. Your only able to run it 2 times a day meaning its not something you can do for fun whenever you want. The reward is a gold sink fine but some of the rewards are a slap in the face. I would be fine with just getting prestige points that you can convert into gold once a day as a log in reward. No Paperdoll Drop in Lawful Lands Yes - Moving away from full loot will make the game a lot less frustrating, This would give a reason for players to stay blue. Togglable Clan Tags No - Would be a nice feature, but its not adding anything to the game and is kind of a waste of time Clan Party and Alliance Indicators No - waste of time, the entire clan alliance system needs to work more like a clan does now so that you cant ally a bunch of random clans Floating Combat Text and Expanded Combat Log Yes - While this would be difficult it would give better combat feedback, even starting as a XML patch to the center screen text would be a good step. Runebook Shelves Yes - I think this would give houses a lot more value, it would be better if we had this to go with a Housing Update Rare Monster Armor Crafting Recipes Yes - Would like to see new spells getting added to the game with a system like this. Re-introduction of Buff Other Spells Yes - Haste, Rapid shot made the game more fun, making Buffs fall off your character if you go under 40% HP or something might be a good option. New Protection Jewelry Yes - If items on paper dolls are not dropping it might be a good idea to add a new magic cohesion. When you die your enchantments fall off until your jewelry is recharged with magic essence. A bank option could be added to auto recharge magic items so that it pulls magic essence from your bank to charge everything on you.
How long can we expect to receive 200 regular arrows and suffer from dungeon quest? alot of this stuff sounds simple..i could be wrong but do we need to even vote on stuff like rune book shelves? Why not just add them in? Rare mob armor? Daily champ spawns?Why even vote...sounds like a great idea just put it in. Stuff that needs to be voted on should really only be combat changes..i think all those ideas should go into the game besides floating text. honestly the poll should look like this +Revert combat to AV system +Revert combat to AV system with no buff others +Should we bring back race wars +Should bow/melee special attacks be added those are the kinda things this community should be voting on...not if trade route should have better loot..i mean of course it should..how long will that take to add? The stuff were voting on is kinda a joke. I mean just think.about it...will any one complain if trade routes got a buff? Lol. People that dont do them will maybe start doing them and the people that do are gonna say "no dont buff them"? Im just lost why this even needs a vote.

This is what i was referring to that there's a variety of feedback from the player base more than just the vocal crowd. Improving dungeons by way of making them more lucrative and attractive hotspots is something we do agree with doing though to address your question.
I know down the.road you guys will hook dungeons up, so im not to worried about it but just cause something is not voted on doesnt mean its a bad idea or shouldnt be added. Think about what im saying, why are things on the vote list that only add positive effects to the game even being voted on. If you had said "Were buffing trade routes" do you think anyone would of said no? Now we have to vote on something to make it added to the game when simple good ideas like this just need to be added. How long would it take to buff trade routes? I cant see it taking to long...These are those simple ideas that can end up adding content..people dont do trade routes but if loot was amazing people would have somthing other to do then sit at villages. Voting should be done on game changing ideas or features and combat..not if we should add this content or that one.
