Ranking based on player kills is pointless and exploitable. -Duels, bindcamping, killing friends... Ooooo... Ahhhh... -_- 24 hour heat map is a little delayed, I think we would all prefer something a little more dynamic, but whatevs. On the right track at least. Btw. NICE >>>>>**HEAT**<<<<< MAP. Thanks for the feedback, we know the ranking board can be enhanced and we will certainly do so in the future. For now we could use your help making sure there are no bugs/issues with the current roll-out.
Any way you can filter out activity within a clan or alliance, so the data isn't primarily consisting of duels?
this and 24H delay makes it useless, 10min would be appropiate to me! p.s. pvp still lack a reward for doing it, need to be self-sustained.
This still isn't content and doesn't do anything to keep or bring back people to the game, when you will you start doing meaningful changes that actually matter and that people actually want? --- Post updated --- the only logic is that it would show and be track able as to where fights happen on a regular basis. So you know where the fights are (avg) on a daily basis, I mean it make sense but seems like a waste of time if hardly anyone is even playing the game. Need to get some meaningful content in the game and get people playing before this kinds of shit matters.
We did not want to give instant information as to where players may be, and instead an indication of where activity/action typically occurs. As the in-game activity increases this map will be more indicative or where fights can occur. That said, we are not opposed to shortening the delay on this if people feel it is warranted. It is not as easy as one may think to add this information into the current user interface, even though it is certainly doable. Instead of focusing game development resources to it right now we decided to create this tool so you have access to the information anyway. We will get it added in-game at some point, but for now you can use the online tool. The developers who worked on this tool, as I mentioned above, did not take away from game development. The game development team is busy working on the village capture mechanics, runebooks and Champion loot, all of which is new/enhanced content.
If anyone's wondering that's 69 unique names that were either killed by a player or killed another player on the 27th (and it's only 4:27 pm UTC right now). I removed one name from the list because I know it's a house holding alt. I'm not on this list and neither is anyone in my clan but I know they all logged in. That's 74 people. I'm sure if you looked at the PvE high score tables for the day there'd be a few names not on this list. The idea was implemented in Daoc and the logic was to show an icon on the map "as soon as the fights is over"
1. Would like it in-game 2. Would like to have a search function for characters 3. Would like a 2 or 3 hour delay minimum, no less. I'm thinking about sieges here, wouldn't want a siege party spotted during the siege. 4. Would like more Leaderboards such as monthly, weekly, daily for competitions/rewards. 5. Would like it in-game. 6. Would like a legend for the colors, ie "Dark red = 10 fights in past x amount of hrs". 7. Would like it in-game. and, lastly, 8. Nice work I give it a 8/10. Points reduced for requests above. Don't worry, an 8 is reputable. I'm only a 6, so, it's an upgrade for me.
i would mind not in game but .... alt tab is cancer dont wanna see a black screen for 10 sec not sure why its not in game lol
