I saw no mention of arena in this post, it needed to be said. Not like anyone else is saying anything :*( If you think an arena would kill darkfall you gotta be dumb or something. There is literally no possible way it could make the game more dead than it already is
Well Squanto and I both had something to say about this post but they deleted our posts and banned Squanto for it.
I think they are sick of the passive aggressive comments. They aren't perfect, but they are all we have, so be nice and campaign for an idea you believe in. Arena is the simplest and easiest solution with the most potential for daily log in and play for casual players imho
I'd rather it shut down. But even with that if by some miracle they manage to turn it around I personally feel that at best an arena would be a 1 maybe 2 week bandaid solution and have little to no long term gain for the game.
Personally I am all for an arena. Correct me if I am wrong but isn’t there tons of people who just play wow for arena? An arena won’t save this game as there are so many things wrong with it now. Economy, no sieging, no content etc An arena would allow players to stream which equals free publicity. Which this game has NONE
Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure the way BPG was going to implement an arena was by having some kind of pve requirement. That way people would do stuff in the world instead of sit at the arena all day. If that’s the case then it wouldn’t be good for streaming at all because you’d do a couple arena fights then go back to farming afterwards lol
Ya who knows. I’m at the point in the game I just want to pvp only and not get zerged. I would play 24/7 if they could make that happen. I don’t play for the mmo I play for the pvp.
lol arena, not enough players for elo system and the same 3-5 players beating the shit out of everyone until only those 3-5 players remain. Arena might be the dumbest suggestion in the history of darkfall.

Zeus battlegrounds was pretty close to a darkfall style arena even though it was a br(lower ceiling ofc), that lasted about a month? The skill gap would be grossly higher in darkfall, Arena would be dead in two weeks. Darkfall is just old and stale, tons of people know about it yet no one really wants to play it. If you actually wanted 1v1's you would just do what every other nerd does, login and ask for them in global. --- Post updated --- this, literally nothing but bad changes, the mounts, the instant ports, the instant toons, instant swaps lol. They ruined the game and its literally an arena br now.
Wow arena it's pretty broken right now but I still play it. GW2 is also another great alternative but the gameplay get's boring fast. I would like to play darkfall again and I like fullloot and progression but it's just too tedius, bags takes far too long to make and they are far too imbalanced. Some classes can kill you in 3 hits in wow and it still is far more balanced than darkfall. Arena is not required to fix things, bgp simply has not the ability to properly handle the game in any successful way. I think the best bet is to start a kickstarter to acquire the licence from bgp and try once more with a different team
