Not yet, i'm sure that will be announced in hotfix patch notes when it does.
im just sayin unhandled exceptions might cause things like...server crashes.
Keep in mind that they're working with a million+ lines of code that none of them originally wrote.
blast was removed? the fun knock up spell? i loved the look and mechanic of that spell, what in the actual fuck
It was essentially a ''noob trap''. I'd rather them not grind up awful spells, waste time and regs, only to be told they're garbage. Big demoralizer.
nice, still not going to play your game.
the big issue for a new player is when he realise that this game has a mandatory meta.
removing spells u preserve him from mistakes and wasting time but no about meta.
I like to think of it like a toolbox. Rather than putting you in some limited roll and only giving you a few tools, DF gives you all of them. Its up to you to choose which ones you'd like to use and your style. I think what they're trying to do it to make sure every tool in the toolbox is useful in some fashion. This is probably the first balance change of many. Shit that used to be not worth the regs are now much more useful. Some of the field AoEs that used to be ignorable now can actually do damage and zone people out. Maybe they thought some of those low level LM spells that were axed were redundant and not worth trying to improve.
You are spot on! We will have a focused patch cycle around combat (including specializations like Destroyer) after launch, as we decided to hold off on focusing on that aspect of the game until then. The tweaks we did with this patch were more of a stop-gap in preparation for what is to come after launch.
u gonna think i m annoying... but 3 weeks before release and we have 0 hype on any mmrpg website. like the marketing (team) is not there
DFO is only fun when the server is at 3k+ pop all the time
I think he understood the first 25 times you posted this
but ya VAMP love useless drama
We don't need toxic posters posting the same crap repeatedly.
I think the kind of marketing you're expecting is pretty out of reach for such a small indie team. That said, I think a really well done, polished gameplay trailer should have already been done and posted to reddit weeks ago. Hopefully Umburrito's got something almost done.
GMs said they had a huge marketing plan with the release of this patch... yet nothing still
im still thinking how BAD decision is launch the game in May.
besides marketing, im reading alot of stuff from devs going to be release after launch... racial stuff, map improovements, combat/spells balance, economy etc.... WHY?
delay it to june or july and release the game in a BETTER shape.
WITH A HUGE PROPAGANDA
tons of ppl will try this on launch, why not release something close to complete???
The original game ran for 4 years in a far less optimal state than we are in now. With our improvements + patch cycle not only will we be in a far better state at launch then any of the time previously, we will also be continuing to improve at a very fast and steady pace which is something that the original never saw before.
As for "Must be in before launch" that list according to various forum members is long enough to keep us from launching for several months and is completely unrealistic.
I'm sure they need some sort of financing
nice patch. sup with the low res images? got me squinting my eyes leaning into the screen. rofl
