If you spawn a mount and get on and try to get off you can't unless you move a little bit first. It is a known issue that is still being worked on. There are some mount fixes coming in the latest hotfix.
How about this in regards to staves. There are now about 7 or 8 different speed staves that you can craft. Each level of crafting only has 2-3 of said speeds. So you could easily go through 50 levels of mastery level crafting things that you will literally never use. Compare this to bowyer and weaponsmithing, where you will use something at each level of crafting.
My nub friends and I would be happy to take them off your hands =) My 2 cents: GUI is an improvement (X is on wrong side for a Windows application) Staff Crafting and Mastery were needed Staves are too expensive (materials and gold) especially given the reduced durability Mounts in general are super frustrating currently (have not tried the hotfix) Textures are hit and miss, but the world seems generally too bright now Anti-grief was a good addition and first step towards NPE which needs much love Will there be any changes to incentivize pvp? Lack of racial wars + giant racial areas means very little early game pvp opportunities Could we get the DND style spell+staff bind if we're going to be carrying around staves for every school now? (see price of staves also) I still haven't looked at enchanting mat upgrade recipes or alchemy changes in general.
New company, new developers....same old darkfall player base.... It is beta...mistakes will happen, patches good and bad will occur....I would have thought after all this time (since 2009) that some of you would have grown up....but I guess age doesn't fix STUPID lol. Nice job BPG, the few issues that arose with this patch I am sure you will address...before that thing called launch
So i sat up last night and patched my game for like 8 hours on my shitty satellite internet. I just go to log in, and it is patching again? is there ANOTHER patch from yesterday? this is the third time ive patched in three days... has there been this many updates?
Still getting some hitches, maybe not quite as bad although I did not ride around a ton after the patch. Server still crap though, still getting ghost melee swings, double casting, spells/skills going off 2-3 seconds after you use them.
I am still getting a lot of hitching when loading player structures. Its like load lagging a siege force riding up to even a empty hamlet. Trying to farm something just at load range of a holding is still pretty brutal.
The hotfix was to fix the staff issues, i believe those issues with the large structures giving extra lag is also being worked on.
So is making battlespikes still not working? Despite having the recipe it's telling me this in system. [18:32:26] Could not find a recipe for crafting the resource.
Can you please relog and let me know if the issue still persists? I was able to craft on test server without issues so wondering if it is possibly just a isolated issue or if other may have it.
Any chance we will see improvements to carry capacity the little red bar is kind of hard to see. Text option and % might be helpful. Love the new GUI, feels like a whole new game and a lot less clunky. I noticed that you added a smokey boarder when you toggle GUI and it looks amazing, wish I could keep that effect on all the time. UW had a similar effect when you toggle GUI but it was too intrusive. Maybe the game could use a GUI toggle reminder in the tool tip box when your not looking at something that has a tool tip. I'm not sure how I feel about Mage Staffs being its own craft. From a design view it makes perfect sense, but its really just adds more complexity to the game which is really not a good thing unless you plan to have a real tutorial. There is also no crafting skill to make tools which could add more layers to crafting like when UO added Runic or Enchanted tools to boost item quality. Basically what needs to be done is to remove the lame gold fee to all the crafting skills and add them as base line skills with repeatable quests to make crafters a little more viable. The combat skills in comparison may be leveling up too quickly and I firmly believable that a soft cap should be added to the scroll system. For instance add a meditation point fee when using scrolls more then 5 times a day.
This was the first implementation/changes for the new UI and i'm sure kilrain has more in store for customization as he has stated in a few other threads.
Newbs and Pros agree, let us bind staffs to spell slots Create a fast casting staff between Blackbolt and Cobra Totally revamp the staff magnitude formula. Magnitude of your staff should affect spell damage MUCH more than it currently does Make corpsecallers USEFUL again by letting them gain the full power of magnitude enchants Increase high level staffs durability and possibly add an extra ingredient to making some Rank 80s like the corpscaller High level Staffs and mage armor should be treated like just like high level Greatswords and Dragon armor in terms of having a similar cost to benefit to length of use ratio. Remove mob dropped items past rank 20 and make crafters craft everything. Add some rank 10,20,30 stuff to vendors so if someone CAN'T get a crafter they aren't totally gimp and can pay MORE gold (gold sink) to the NPC than it would have cost to buy from a crafter. Create a mailbox/shipping system with a mailbox being buildable at every player city and every capital npc city. Allow crafters to send invoices trhough the mail to provide safe and fast trading over distance with a portion of the gold paid taken as a sink based on distance. Make leenspar harder to aquire from almost all faucets. Infernal and it's mage counterpart should you choose to add it should NOT be even remotely standard daily pvp gear. Some high end weapon recipes may need reeavulating such as Silverbranches and Gravesongs requiring selentine Infernal sland Dragon armor should ALSO require regular iron ingots Provide mobs that are good for farming for BASIC materials for people like me who would rather not play than hit a node. I am NOT a peasant I do not do manual labor. If we HAD enough crafters and gathers and a working economy people like me could just BUY from them but chances are certain people will run them all out to DnD. This is why we need back up alternatives. @MWTaylor @Neilk @Umberto @DestLocke
They need to make it so you can't switch staffs after a certain time Cooldown is achieved like 40 seconds for instance. How are the weapon balances for melee? GS still the best?
Buff counters on 4k screens show the font too large for the space alotted under the icon. It makes it nearly impossible to tell how much time is left on food or spell buffs.
