How's video game rehab going tho? you're on forums so must've been vastly ineffective so far.
You do realize that there were elemental/arcane/necro/SC/WC staffs in game before right?
Haha, that would be ridiculously expensive and barely worth it, most transmute damage comes from bolts and your r90s as you know im sure. Have you guys considered allowing us to bind staves to individual spells? During the few months I played DnD it made switches incredibly fluid, I loved it.
There was no lesser magic boosting staves and that's the most broken part of this patch.
Oh he knows, BW probably has a collection of my transmutes gathering dust somewhere lol

They dont seem to affect transfers or heal self, and if they do they barely do. Who knows maybe itll bring back the mana missile kiting meta like its '09 all over again
Of course you have tested the difference right?
Maybe if you would have specified the changes in the patch notes there wouldn't be any confusion on this matter.
@DestLocke Are there plans in the works to make a staff equipable per spell? I feel like this would solve a lot of problems people are worrying about if so.
how's a successful game going? your on the forums so must've been vastly ineffective so far.
Nobody has made staff mastery level lesser magic staffs yet and they do increase intensity with rank if the description window is accurate.
What? Are we playing the same game?
I agree BW acts ridiculously entitled when it comes to combat changes. That being said combat is in such a delicate balance now they really should discuss changes with the community before they invest dev time into them.
One nice thing about DnD, despite how crappy some of their combat ideas are (RPG ones are fantastic), is they laid down a super detailed roadmap right from the get go, before they started developing. So everything was up for discussion.
I think you should be clear and mention that every other game that has boarderless windowed allows you to move your mouse to your 2nd monitor while you're in game at the users discretion.
Funny how some people ITT call others "toxic" and "negative" for predicting future problems based off past/ current evidence and who go to all the trouble to write hugely in depth analysis and potential SOLUTIONS to said problems in the game design section....
Then the same people calling others Toxic/ Negative turn around and scream "EVERYTHING YOU DID SUX FIX IT! GIVE ME "CONTENT"! Everytime BPG patches
Either tell BPG why it sucks and offer a potential solution/ alternative that BPG can reasonably do or quit bitching
Also please define "meaingful content" if you're asking for it
Forumfaller: " HERES $20 ENTERTAIN ME CLOWNS!"
Devs: "Ok here hows this?"
Forumfaller: "OMG dis is SHIT! I want NEW CONTENT! Dance for me you monkey fucks!"
Devs: "Ok...what kind of dance"
Forumfaller: "OMFG I gave you $20 do I have to do EVERYTHING idc just something NEW THAT'S ACTUALLY GOOD!"
Devs: *Proceed to do the Macarena*
Forumfaller: "Lol dis content is flower AF undo it immediately!"
Devs: "Fuck it let's just do nothing and see how long this asshole stays subscribed"
K, you do that, then get back to me.
Wow. I was genuinely wondering how it was going for you. Grow up kid. Read at least one book this next year.
You say "entitled", I say we understand pvp balance better than most and as a collective whole have more insight into how imbalances from this patch are absolutely apparent and it's mind boggling that they make these changes without at least fielding some discussion from experienced beta testers.
The old dwarven racial staff is now one, so I tested with that. Unless old staves are bugged and not as powerful as new crafted ones, we'll see.
old staves do not work with the new mechanics as far as i can tell.
I was too. Darkfall is about to hit the shit.
