    I've never said your opinion doesn't matter or that the many parts of the game shouldn't be designed around newbs, casuals, etc but COMBAT balance is not one of those things in my opinion because the balance is already on a knifes edge. I think a big problem that I have with this patch is that they are focusing on the wrong things, without asking the community for any feedback on ideas prior to implementation. They need to work on NPE and retaining new players above any of these changes. I agree with you 100% there.

    What I like about DnD is they actually read and respond to suggestions and thats AFTER they laid out a detailed game plan.

    They will even respond to idiots and most idiotic suggestions such as "MAKE IT SO I CAN PLAY MELEE ONLY I SHOULDN'T HAS TO USE MAGIC TO HEAL OR BOW FOR RANGED!"

    @BPG so this isn't a total shit post what do you think of...

    Making spell reflect instant or almost instant cast with a VERY short duration (3 sesconds?) so it becomes more skillful and active use?

    Meaningful siege system

    Territory conflict

    Mines taken out of holdings and made capable in the world to promote resource wars.

    Land towers

    Fixed Sea towers

    Fixed Devils/Demons/krakens and any other boss mob that can be solo/2man.

    Tons of shit has been suggested and tons of it has not even been started.

    devils are fixed, need 4 solid players minimum, easier with 5.

    rest i agree with except for mines taken out of holdings. they should drop less rares and golems should be the main source of ore. problem with this though is that they devalue cities even more, especially once they remove portal chambers.

    basically yep, anyone can get shit on in a random melee exchange even if they are way better at the game in other aspects. melee is the basic entry level "class" as myater put it.

    I personally don't see anything wrong with spell reflect as is but that is just my opinion. What you are suggesting may make it more skill based to some extent but may make it too small of a window to use to becoming valuable. Currently if you spell reflect people normally have to waste a spell cast/time to take it off like wof/small aoe of magma and so on. With your suggestion they simply wait 3 seconds if you have timed it incorrectly and it is gone. So that suggestion does polarize it's value either it can be very good or useless.

    Check out a game called shadowbane it had mines you fought over and worked well to promote daily group pvp. Would be like mini sieges every day all over the game.

    Also didnt know they did anything different to devils thats cool though but prob should still take more than 5 people no?

    no, they shouldn't. i don't like the change tbh, used to get fights over devils now nobody does them because its not efficient for 5 people.

    I mean I guess the duration could be longer but I really like the idea of actual wizard battles taking timing and definitely want it to be either extremely fast cast or instant with the duration varying (less duration if instant longer if small cast time). I PREFER instant

    That's what spell reflect was SUPPOSE to be imo when I was a noob grinding for it in 2009 I was soooo disappointed

    You could always keep spell reflect as is an add a new spell with that functionality.....maybe even make it reflect arrows too?

    Call it Rebound or something lol

    no one goes there anymore cause of the 100 mega spawns all over the map

    has for the devil the loot is worth for 4 players

    Damn, all i see are a bunch of whiny ass bitches. How about y'all have mommy change your diapers and give you a bottle to suck on, because damn.


    The concepts behind this patch are rather amazing, and just like with the scroll system where everyone screamed like stuck pigs, it's going to turn out really awesome. Constructive criticism is best, you whiners can take some midol or something.


    Im not sure what the whole 'now i need a script' thing is about. don't you hit a key for your lesser magic spells? put the less magic staff there. Is no one already using different staves for rays?
