BPG never should of fucked with the textures from DF1 to begin with
Some of them from the first time they changed shit (like 2 years ago) are literally an eye sore and uncomfortable and distracting to look at.
I don't know how to describe it other than too sharp/bright, but it's fucking annoying and just feels wrong and out of place
pretty much everybody is saying their fps is better though, so I don't really care too much tbh its better overall
Several areas I've visited since the patch look markedly better and my fps is really high.
500 fps, about 400 with gui

The first texture change was a huge mess and since it was in the past I suggest we dwell on it forever, deal?.
This one is good and we’ll keep moving forward with it. There will be times when textures don’t fit an area and this is largely due to AV using the same textures over again so when they’re replaced they make sense in one location and not another. With reports of out of place textures can find them faster and adjust.
Ya some textures seem to large on the ground. Just think if ya guys scale it down it will mesh better with every area.

It helped a lot with fps, so was a good move for sure
I've lost performance (to be fair its prolly my crappy system) but it seems to be a large loss. My biggest issue is the new textures give me a headache where the previous ones were fine.
Hmm that's unfortunate. Have you tried playing with different resolutions? That can be quite benneficial.
all this patch did was further mess with combat, destro is off, bow damage is off, it's not a end of beta type revert people wanted. Even worse, it messed with crafting and forced the new mats into having a purpose by making them required for old crafts. People are tired of them messing with stuff no one asked to be messed with. Yall fuckin up the sauce.
One question I have that is not mentioned in thread is if there going to be wilderness portal chamber changes. I figure maybe try to make a kind of round trip aspect so it isnt just 1 way, or maybe a 2 way portal system. UW had 2 way chambers well spaced out (think 1 between each racial land on the outer ring, 1 on each island) that if u go to one, can pick any chamber for a fixed price. (was like 1k gold for awhile, then portal shards, then a new portal stone item crafted with portal shards that they then removed after while)
Figure the system was suppose to be better and runebooks were kind of a replacement for it in a sense. Wilderness chambers esp. compared to how UW had it is subpar and should get some attention esp. in relation to recent travel changes.

They don't listen, we tried for months to get them to do all of the changes at once (runebook nerf, billboard village teleport removal + village buff and the wilderness portal hub update). Im starting to think that they have a god complex and that they think their ideas are always superior and they will only implement their ideas . Hell, even recently with the chaos stone runebook change we even spent like an hour theorycrafting sick chaos stone locations for them to be relocated to and they refused to listen at all. Then on top of that, they had the 'smart idea' and nerve to 'add more CONTENT' to the game by saying 'hehehe lol go explore for the changed chaos stone locations ehehhe lol'.
Though it can seem silly to suggest there are still many out there that don't know these things
