The bow damage increase and switch from piercing damage is pure cancer. Especially with where heavy armors are currently, whoever sold those changes to the devs on the test server could sell ice to the eskimos.
40% damage buff and 20% damage buffs have been removed completely. The switch from piercing to arrow is only affecting those who used enchants with piercing protection which would be the try hards and not a single one of the average / casual players (Piercing / Arrow protections are nearly identical which I don't think people even realize). Heavy armor just got dunked on for any high level magic as it will reduce the spells level. Archery encumbrance is still a thing. The damage was necessary or pure archer builds would not be viable (just like they haven't been for the entirety of this games existence besides the first few months of a launch). Lets also not forget the removal of melee / range haste which was a much bigger nerf to those play styles than people seem to realize. The removal of hasten spells and self buffs finally helped balance that out though. I loved every part of this patch. The removal of BSpike hopping was amazing.
You don't have to be a god to realize heavy armor is a little too strong right now. combined with arrow dmg being insane.
I'm sure everyone will flock to heavy if that's the case. I wasn't in a single fight today that I didn't need to drink 2 or more panacea because I was spammed with sluggish.
Right, you say its so good but yet everyone I fight is playing low encumbrance, I guess I'm just too smart for the meta.
