    Tested Volcano did 7.5 DMG x thick vs a FP mage bag with 13.95 fire defense.

    I think the problem here is not patching all the changes at once. Will ppl still whine about arrow dmg when mastery bone armour gets implemented ? I can imagine the pierc... I mean arrow protection gonna be higher than standard bone armour's.

    granted I didn’t fight Juice or Animal when they were heavies, pretty sure I haven’t died to a heavy since the patch on live or during the entire week I was fighting them on pts

    While I don't agree with them changing combat in the first place, Destro Vs. Mage right now is fine as long as the mage is using a q4/5 staff if the Destro is in full Infernal. Might be hard for mages who suck at kiting a destro around or who don't use terrain. Just use needles in your spell rotation along with insect swarm towards the front of your rotation (that's what I do anyways).

    Eh this is true but I don't debuff as I think it's cheesy and I also think it should be removed from the game as it's really hard to balance around debuffs.

    So I just tested this patch with allegedly a 5 damage bow buff in damage with the loss of mage killer and it's just stupid (Those numbers should have kept the damage about the same but clearly did not). I'm in a half infernal / fp mix bag with 50 archery encumbrance hitting a mage in 4 piece fp with bone for 41 in the front with a .84 gravesong and 46 in the front when playing with 0 archery encumbrance. The mage is using a q3 cobra magnitude and hitting for 23-24 with rays, 33 in front with impale, 30 in front with r90s, 21 with magma, etc but I don't see this as an issue as those numbers are fine. The issue is the 41 damage from a .84 gravesong with 50 archery encumbrance. I would increase archery encumbrance by about 50% (instead of the .05 per 1 should be like .075 per 1 encumbrance) and also reduce archery damage as a whole by about 2.5 (or half of whatever you buffed it since that 5 is fake news). Then see how that plays out. Also melee swings on the same mage to the front with a .91 greataxe are only doing 37 to the front so I don't see how archery with 50 encumbrance should be doing more with a bow that is only .84...

    This all coming from a huge fan of archery.. but it's really dumb atm. My posts previously were just from reading patch notes and running the numbers which clearly were not what they claim to have been.

    AOEs are also doing insanely low damage against heavy users. Not sure what was broken with that but it is also dumb.

    Archery damage should maybe be more affected by heavy armour? Sacrificing range potential for high resists?

    I think the real problem is the encumbrance enchant. Let's remove that next.

    That is my thought 100%. There is no reason to play a 0 archery encumbrance build right now with the way full heavy has such little reduced archery damage yet insanely high protections.
