Sorry but the one thing that wasn't broken in Darkfall was its combat. All this effort could of went into many other things and ideas the community has had to improve the game. Although i know the kind of effort this took was minimal, it's an editing patch at best. I said before, you should never release combat changes in multiple stages Especially if they go hand in hand with each other. Holding out and put a more finished product on the PTS instead of half assing it might of made people understand the proposed changes better. The amount of effort it takes to kill someone in heavy armor is ridiculous, meanwhile they can just hold in the left mouse button and hit me harder than i could ever hit them (Even with R90 Rank 5 Spells)
probably becouse they cant fix the bug and give to us a beter game soo they just loosing time whit this balance for give us the illusion they are working on someting
i agree with the chad. I think cobras should be more deadly. i think staff casting speed should be a lil faster to match previous hasten spells, maybe equalize to the hasten spelled cobra speed for all. enhance cobra dmg to match lil higher than sarracenia.. i think that it shouldn't be impossible for a mage to kill an infernal destro. (was not broken) back dmg should be stronger (do more dmg). (was not broken) stam drain via offensive magery should be higher than offensive melee stam drain. machine-gunning rays was never cool, that's why AV patched it long ago, dont listen to the ray-spamming elitests. mages need to be beefier, no stoneskin or arrow prot or extra hp = not gonna win vs. destro unless u fully debuff them and play perfectly with super expensive enchants bombarding your jewelery... why make this a rock paper scissors game? 2. Are we ready to do away with the speed variations? Could make all staves cobra speed and only deal with damage magnitude and type. 3. Remove the ability to chain rays. 6. We're probably going to drop 110 stat potions in a few locations around the map. Thoughts on also increasing gains from 100-110 a smidge? We don't want to remove all grind, but do understand that getting to 110 is pretty rough. YES! you should be able to chain rays, just not the machinegun speed we have now, prepatch was ok, you took something not broken and broke it. it didn't need fixing or adjustment but you did it anyways. that's what people get mad about when you start messing with combat mechanics. granted, mob scaling and runebooks was best patch darkfall has ever seen, but this is becoming a nightmare and im starting to want unholy wars to re-release with the same updates it went through going from vanilla to finish, just to relive the changes.
1) + 20 % Blund. Protection for all the Armour 2) + 20 % Arrow Protection Bone/Studded Armour 3) - 10 % Magic Protection Heavy Armour 4) + 10 point casting speed Blacbolt / Cobra staff 5) 110 stat. whit meditation
-revert healing other and sacrifice back heal -bring back self buff by merging them ( fire buff merge in 1 cast, air buff merge in 1 cast... ) -increase self buff around 10% -50% reduce back damage is ok it reduce ttk -rays should have a 2 sec CD between cast
Why do you guys half implement things and then have to fall back on all this stuff you plan to implement while your live game suffers?
This is just an idea, but I think something along the lines of a full support class would be good for group combat to encourage it more. UW wasn't all bad Also heavy mages can arrow debuff and hit more than someone in full infernal so I also think something along these lines would also make sense. inb4 UW hater flame
@ijharb I mean.... MBlack and Mag were the only people from your clan I've seen PvP'ing. It would appear the rest of you want to sit in Red Moon, duel, and bitch on the forums about balance. Meanwhile, we have yet to see how well the combat works with larger fights and the people complaining about balance probably don't understand how to adapt to a new meta. The only people that got fucked hard here are players that spam field aoe/r90's and support style players. If you can aim and know how to work transitions the way we did back in the r50 cycling days, then you'll be fine. Fights are more of a chess match than a DPS race now. Learn to move your pieces to the right spot for the time being. It's a transient state of combat. Anyway, I'd say removing transmutes only slowed the enchanting climb. Most people only used them for farming golems.
Pretty much this Does anyone even want to play until this is complete? Right now people are paying subs to beta test, how is this even a thing 1 year after launch
This is untrue, if you use toxic, impale and insect swarm(more dmg on heavy than any other ray) and bow the destro down you effectively do more dps if you land arrows. Just because you can't spam aoes and rays behind them doesn't make them impossible to kill you just have to change your playstyle to kill a heavy, which I think is way better than before.
Not sure what this post is saying, but on top of this you can spam debuff their slashing/piercing/melee and ranged slow/undeath/sluggish... etc forcing them to spam panaceas or be a potato
Do you guys think lowering arcane protection back to 15 roughly from 3 jewels would help alleviate "Heavy's being too OP"?
Games fine, learn to adapt noobs. Quit QQing because you can't run around as a mage with a blackbolt in a robe and outdps a full infernal set.
Already read it... I would love to get actual feedback from you. These troll posts just look bad and don't help anyone.
It doesnt matter what you do, people will QQ. I can adapt to metas, so can other people, then theres people who cannot and will QQ and throw fits because they can't run around in blackbolts and robes anymore. - Cobras are too weak. - Destros are too tanky - Not that this matter, because apparently the current form of destro wont be a thing when everything else is implemented? - Supports need love. The best piece of feedback I can give you, is don't start changing combat based on changes down the line and expect everything to be dandy.
