so now to level crafting you still need to craft 1000000 items, but it has to be items worth alot for it to level as much as it used to? the mob drop part is pretty interesting, cant wait to test it ps any plans on spawn scaling? it would add A LOT to the pve aspect of the game
Higher level crafts always netted more XP than say R0s, just FYI. But you are correct; no more jumping in the lava with 5000 cloth pants. I mean, you CAN still do that, it's all about player choice after all, but I wouldn't advise it.
You are better off crafting higher end items to keep increasing your crafting skill level then to craft low-ranked items after this change. We are working on it, do not fret! Our changes did not make it into this patch but should be in by the next one. As we mentioned before, we are not doing dynamic spawning based on players present, but instead are going through spawns themselves making some much more rewarding than others.
First patch I haven't been excited about. I guess every patch can't be great but from the text alone (maybe it will play out better), this looks really lackluster. If the villages are "buffed" its a plus, but it reads like they are still shit. Mob loot tables still shit. NPE still shit. Meh. Not really trying to be negative just giving my PoV.
It was always super worth it to craft the best thing you can. This doesn't really change much. In fact, didn't even think it was necessary because it already was pretty brutal to 'brute force' masteries without rare mats. It ended up costing you way more than if you just got rares and did it 'right'.
I'm not anything. I'm not mad or pissed. I'm not happy. Not excited. Usually when I read some patch notes there is something to get hyped about, something to want to login and try. This time? Nodda. Doesn't have to be 10 awesome changes, but this is just "well hope the villages are fixed" because its the highlight of the patch.... We'll see I suppose, thanks for patching though its always appreciated.
you guys jut keep getting better and better. amazing job. For those who think this patch is a little lackluster, read back to other posts of what they said they COULD DO once they have the persistence in and running. this is gonna be great!! im so fucking pumped!!
I agree its not an exciting patch, but not all patches are exciting and every once in a while there needs to be a 'tweak' patch that just does a lot of little needed adjustments. Try looking at it in a pure +- view and think 'do these changes move the game in a direction that makes it better' and I would say yes.
Looks great. Still would have liked the ability to simply input a number to pick my sensitivity rather than using a slider. I went into some blue cities recently to give away gear to newbs. They have no idea how to start the game or what to do. As BPG already knows, the new player experience and tutorial needs an overhaul.
As per usual you guys are drastically underestimating the work they have done. The fact that they were able to overhaul persistence and still patch something other than just that says something. Also there is nothing wrong with the additional things that were patched in. They just laid down a solid foundation for a bunch of future changes, including the highly asked for race changes and all that good stuff. How's that for "exciting".
Considered that for the sensitivity sliders, but this was a good compromise, the larger sliders provide more precision and you can also note your exact number if/when you want to try different settings and such. An input box that dynamically changes but can be also altered directly would be the next step, but not instead of the sliders.
I believe this step was just trying to make r0 weapon/armor etc lvling spam null so that leveling crafting is actually a decently long process instead of the current overnight afk maxing.
i like it with the persistence system in this patch im happy you got anything else done thanks for village changes BPG also LOL the ugliest ork ever
I believe race changes were one of the things. Also its much easier to monitor wealth and char advancement with this system to see potential exploits.
