    Patch feedback: adding the Halloween items seems to have lowered the chance of stat potions dropping. Been farming them all week and today it seems twice as long to get a stat pot to drop. So 2x harder. (Skeleton spawn)

    I think this patch is a good starting point to be able to add in new content BASED around the idea that travel is so much faster. I'd love to be in on their ideas content wise. The game really needs some lore and quests that also tie into the political landscape of the game. You could even have clan quests, maybe capturing a certain village (basic) or having to siege a certain hamlet and tie the results back into the lore, could get really interesting.

    Great patch ! Seeing all the people coming back to try out the new stuff is awesome... keep the momentum and communications going. Hope to see something based around leaderboards for reds and blues. Give the server a reason to keep killing or protecting:)

    I just think 2k per (travel) is not cheap to lowbies. But, what kind of mobs drops portalshards now?
    Need freetrial, marketing, steam to atract another guys.

    2k might be a lot to new players, I agree. but lets be honest, new players are not going to be going all over and marking 5k runes:p

    Its one of those timing things, not going to really effect a new player too much when the subway is in

    I only ported once all night between portals, capital recall, house access and bindstone. I don't think you have to rune everywhere. It's just a convenience if you wanna pay for it. I'm pretty pleased with my selections

    Patch is really nice :) Allows people to get around and farm what they want faster and more efficiently. Villages seem to be bringing groups and the rewards have potential to be really nice. Great work!

    So let me get this straight...

    Instinct hits a siege on a city owned by a clan with 1 active, and costs a new clan with 20 members probably over 300,000 gp.

    Now for the low low price of 7k gp, not even the price of a R60 greatsword, a clan like Instinct can show up to just about anywhere on the map on short notice and make sure that any attempt to achieve anything in this game is very quickly quashed.

    How was this a good idea?

    Honestly, that's not the problem. Ppl being able to show up where ever is cool. Just make the biggest clan ever and stop complaining. the problem is, there's no prevention. These guys don't have to live there, they can just come back when ever... so really, what's the point of territory control at this point?

    First, i think the system needs a cooldown. As i'm reading through the patch note, there doesn't seem to be a any cooldown. This system should not and i repeat, it should not put an end to the whole territory control.

    This is why i said earlier that the portal chambers feels like a much better system. Yes, we need more playes and more action, but to have a system that takes away the risk vs reward aspect of DF is a total turn off for me.

    In before this discussion is censored.

    But it is a problem.

    If people can't do anything but live out of NPC or Chaos cities or ally up with someone else, it's a severe restriction on player freedoms.

    Build a big clan? With who? There's no one to build a big clan with. If there were 5-7k concurrent I'd totally agree with you. But whilst the pop is how it is, very small clans will be far more relevant.

    After reading multiple post from you, it seems your issue is not with fast travel, your issue is full loot.

    No, it's with fast travel. When people have to take next to no time out of their day to go and screw up everyone elses shit, and they continue to do it just cause they're bored, there's an issue.

    It's like that toddler in the sandbox who doesn't want to play with any of the toys, but won't let the other kids play with them either. Now imagine if that toddler could teleport between sandboxes?

    Since we have rune books now, let's keep this momentum going and add factions now. 4 factions with faction bases and sigils to protect like in UO. That would be a lot of content if the sigils were worth fighting over.
