you lower magtic encum.. with previeus patch now we are raizing it? substancial how is this balancing?
I dont understand why you raised the magic enc. Heavy hybrid/heavy warrior or gtfo?? Wont it make everyone look the same with everyone rolling 4+ pieces of infernal?
I forgot to add the staff magnitude changes were reverted as well. From here on we’ll not be making any more incremental changes to combat unless the players vote them in. Like all systems forward we will only patch it in when 100% complete.
Stop QQing so much. Be happy that the devs at least talk to you and patch anything. Over at DND we haven't heard a thing since july and nothing's been patched in ages.
I just don’t understand what kind of direction you guys are taking with the game. We had a Q&A 2 weeks ago about making polls within the community. Not 1 single one has happened. You guys said you will do weekly “community patches” not 1 yet. Also, you guys are STILL going at it with combat. It’s actually beyond frustrating knowing the people left do love this game. I don’t know how much more I can really wait or watch of these pointless patches.
We've been looking over the options for our first poll and will get one together this week. We're all very busy with RoA or other obligations so it often takes a bit to organize and plan new plans of action like this and we don't want to just half ass it.
I mean they are reverting alot of the things most of you guys have been complaining about with the combat, sure its not a full revert which is what most of you guys want but its still going to be better than what we have had currently on live. Im not saying I agree with the direction of things either, to me if they want to look at combat it should be last on the list, because this game is screaming for things that will give people a reason to log in and fight. But BPG are at least making an effort to improve things here, it just takes a large amount of time with such a small dev team. Think we should be a little more thankful when they do finally listen to the community feedback, even if it isnt 100% what you want.
A couple minutes when you know what options are going in it. Figuring that part out... O(n)? First you find the time to go over the options available for the first poll. Second you decide which ones are feasible for 'weekly' patches, then you figure out what kind of poll you should construct and go from there. I mean, we could just throw some random polls out there, but the info we get from it will probably not be useful.
More like O(n^2). Which.... given the computational speed of the Darkfall team - I feel is too much complexity. I'm feeling like a dick this morning (No one rub my head. I'll fucking explode) Only being a dick because we all know the old combat was a gyaghtdayum diamond. Watching old videos and seeing how it's been dumbed down in recent days.... makes me hurt
Dick boy dick boy what you gonna do what you gonna do when combat is changing to poo --- Post updated --- Iam looking forward to playing the new changes problem is I don’t think they are good changes
When does encumbrance start effecting spell dmg for mages becuse if you dident change that the full patch is a waste of time
Did you read the notes? Magic encumbrance penalties have been raised from 20 (regular) encumbrance to 40 before the new penalties begin. This will allow for more “heavier” armors to be used for mages before spell levels are affected.
