    Ok it’s more then clear you don’t understand how this game works . No mage played at 10 encumbrance becuse the damage you lose for 0-10 is not worth . So clearly that hasent been changed so my guess is every mage will still play 0 encumbrance. Nice patch is nice laugh

    Playing at 10 magic enc will be exactly like it was originally. If you have any issues with how the original combat was at 10 magic enc then feel free to suggest changes to be put into vote.

    Ok then my suggestion is that you look at encumbrance and make it scale properly. I understand how you have encumbrance effecting spells and how it effects the megnatude of the spell effect. What I don’t think you understand is how encumbrance effects damage. The difference between 0 encumbrance and 0.01 encumbrance is damage loss and you lose damage every point past 1. So if you want mages to go up to 39.99 encumbrance then the amount of damage you will lose is going to make it not worth it. Can anyone test this and post it somewhere on the forums.

    “Properly” is subjective.

    Encumbrance is there for a reason. If you put on heavier armor you deal less damage. Are you suggesting we allow magic users to dressing dragon armor?

    A mage should lose zero damage up to 9.99 encumbrance so they can use dragon yes that is what Iam saying.

    I won't be able to play for a while but I just want to remind with old changes most staff's used were .40-.60 dmg. dealing under 40s to the front. If players are using these crazy .75+ staffs every fight the overall damage per spell might be quite high.

    I have no comment other than a friendly reminder.

    I dont get the encumbance change if its working. I see a strong drop off in damage and casting speed after 20 still, linear up till ultra heavy.
    And the visual penalties are ticking up starting at 20 still.

    20 magic encumbrance which is what you have at 40 overall encumbrance?

    Or 0 magic encumbrance, 20 overall encumbrance?

    ya same as before I think. 40 encumbrance still gives 20 magic penalty points

    yes, 40 enc gives 20 magic encumbrance that has never change, but the penalties we put in place don't start until after that point now. Before people had to keep their magic enc at 0, now they can go up to 20 like before.

    zero magic penalty does more damage than 1 magic penalty right now

    (it always been like that btw)

    if it’s always been that way then that’s what it is. 0-20 magic enc is back to the old way.

    0-.000001+ has always been an increase in magic penalties, it was just a massive jump after they made the initial encumbrance changes. now its linear up to 20 magic encumbrance which is pretty much the same as it used to be (25 was the big "jump" before")

    Everything looks good BPG. SCREW these haters, that all suck n have tiny schlongs.

    For everyone confused, about encumbrance... go test. The change is good. Up to 20 magic encumbrance will be exactly the same as it was when RoA launched.

    BPG only has a limited amount of time to make this game profitable. Spending that time trying to get combat back to being as good as it once was does not seem like time well spent.
