Any idea on what levels the r90's and other spells are with scribing? 50, 75, 100?
yea because the knockbacks in UW were good, haha kidding of course.
- fix villages rewards
- remove the possibility to spec mana shield/mage hunter with mage killer
I'm currently a female Dwarf. does that mean I just got epically shit on?
Would it be possible to get some stats on character reach so I can decide things for launch?
you dont find it weird that you get hit with those spells and instead of accounting for the direction you hit from, angle, terrain, etc....you just get shot straight up in the air?

Get a female alfar, and get a male mahirim. Your dwarf probably falls somewhere at the bottom. The difference is minimal and no, you will not get shit on. Dwarf perseverance is also strong as fuck. You will essentially have it up every time you fight someone. Half stam use for 1 min 30 sec is actually massive.
I'm going to test it, but in the description it says "Stamina Damage" I believe. It also costs 100 mana like rage. So I'm capital recalling right now to go buy it.
Go test it. It does reduce your stamina consumption on every action you do, and it cost only 30 mana. It never costed as much as rage, the problem with it was that the stamine bonus wasn't working. We fixed it, and increased it's duration. And the description is "Allows the character to fight almost without draining stamina."
As for the reach difference, ofc if you pick one of the shortest race, your reach is gonna be one of the shortest. But the difference between the shortest and the longest reach is really small. It used to be that every race had roughly the same reach, with alfar being bugged and left behind, and ork/mahirim having to look down which lead to them having shorter effective reach than everyone but alfar. Now, all the races are more grouped up. Nobody is as far behind as alfar used to be.
Yeah I mean the melee thing was always a small difference for alfar, but that's why you saw every alfar player switch to human in DF1.
While you're here, I have a question, if you don't mind. Is 2.5 bonus damage on elves and orks going to be balanced with the new slow and fast weapons? It seems like fast weapons will rule supreme, am I wrong? (I do like the 2.5 damage bonus quite a lot fwiw)
Ah I was thinking of the Stamina melee spec.
The difference between alfar female to wolf male (shortest to longest) is less than what the difference of alfar vs human used to be. Every other races are scaling in between.
keeping 500K med on LAUNCH? Man, you guys are trying to kill the gold sinks.. Im a fan but 500K? Seems a bit much.
One thing to keep in mind is how gold sinks affect new players. Joining the game and realizing you need 5 to 6k per day just to meditate while you're already behind, is daunting. I think gold sinks should not greatly hinder character progression, they shoudl be in the form of long term goals (trueforge, 100 weaponsmithing mastery, ships, wonders, etc), fluff items or titles, sieges, and stuff like that.
