Back damage bonus decreased - We've lowered the back damage bonus by 1/2 IDK how to feel about this one Staff magnitude increased in effect on spell damage - The formula that calculates spell damage has been modified to increase the effect of the staff magnitude on the outcome of the spell. The result is that the spread of damage from a 0.01 magnitude to 1.0 magnitude staff is now double what it used to be. This results in fast staves being considerably weaker and slow staves more powerful. We'll see. Enchants adjustmented - Due to the changes regarding buffs and staff magnitude we've reduced the magnitude enchants and removed the spell casting speed enchants for now. We'll see. The rest looks good. (PS: Swapping to destro after I lose the rest of my mage bags, let the shitshow begin.)

I suggest you shut down the live servers when the PTS comes up and force people to try these changes. I'm optimistic but i feel like the game is being dumbed down a bit, maybe that's a good thing? Patch 1? I think you should do ALL the changes at once on the PTS because you aren't going to get very reliable feedback when so many things go hand n hand with combat.
@Andrew I have like.... a lot of q3/4 cast speed gems. I hope we're getting our materials back and those enchants mats become applicable toward new enchants....

both fair. changes made on the pts dont change on the way to live unless they've overtly game breaking. no point in logging into the pts when i can just wait a week and see the exact same thing,
The idea is to stop/fix the changes people don't like before it's too late. Instead people wait until its on live and and it's too late because of lazyness These are the people that usually ragequit and cry the hardest
Destroyers may be about to get a massive buff that they don't really need. Please, at least, make melee skills share cooldowns (100%) across different weapons. I like the nerf to back damage. I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I don't think it should even be in the game in its current form anyway. Am I reading the staff damage part right? Does it mean a cobra will do roughly 4 more damage than a blackbolt? Combined with armor buffs, if they are of any significance, I feel like this could be the end of blackbolts for offensive purposes unless staff damage was increased across the board in the new formula.
