    No, we need to get crazy because this is really hurting the game. Scroll up and look at the concern here. These people care about the game, take it serious... or better yet, take it crazily serious.

    What's the reasoning behind removing polearm knockback? That's what made them unique and appealing to certain playstyles...

    These clarifications would be to the benefit of Red players only. Which is good, but I really don't think you are fully considering the ramifications for blue players here. I touched on it in a previously reply, but it didn't seem to be addressed. Having Orange in the system was a bit of a weird confusing mechanic, but removing the color without removing the mechanics of being orange turned a confusing system into a way, way worse one.
    So, as a Blue Player, you're out farming you see a Red coming at you, you have no visual indicator of what his alignment is. The only way to find out is to land the first blow which will either do nothing, or flag you as Rogue. If you fight to the death while flagged, you will either be an alignment free kill, or take an alignment hit. The other option is to just allow the Red to get a hit off on you first. This is absolute balls in my opinion as it definitely gives full blown reds the advantage while the blue player is playing a guessing game.
    Second scenario, much the same as the first. You engage in a fight with a Red, as a blue you don't end up flagged, another person joins the fight against you, he appears red, you think you're still good, he gets hit by one of your attacks... and Oops! that player had -199 alignment and now you are flagged Rogue and will end up being a free alignment kill.
    Honestly, I get what the initial intent was with all the colors, it was a cool idea, but I think it's more than proven to be an over-complicated mess. Removing orange while still keeping the mechanics was like trying to clean up a pile of dog crap by crapping on it yourself. Way bigger mess.

    A couple more patch notes that will be ready for the testing today. Will also add these to the website update.

    -All housing items on any cottage/house/villa/large villa/keep that has expired will be removed.
    -Parry is now a skill in game that can be bound to other burst keys
    -Parry can also now automatically happen when pulling out any weapon (edit that in slot options menu)

    Some official explanation would be good. Clearly they're not OP.

    Making the knockback more uniform would actually be a nice change not removing it completely. Polearms minus knockback are still shitty stickyback weapons compared to the other two handers.

    I didn't know this was a request by anyone.

    The test server is not maxed characters, it is copies of your live character and will only be online while we need public testing.

    Can we talk about the desync here. who the fuck cares about alignment when the server on live is broken as fuck with lag right now.

    Report on that.

    As soon as possible, if there is no issues it should implemented rather quickly. If there are changes that need to be made it will be delayed.

    There were complaints throughout DFO and ROA that polearms were not efficient as a main weapon choice and that it was overshadowed by the other weapons because of the knockback. One jump while someone hit you would knock you further out of their range rendering the weapon essentially worthless to continue on. We will monitor feedback on that change and the others and make adjustments if necessary.
