Ugh, those buff other times, rip pve. I really don't see the point and the negatives seem to outweigh the benefits. ADJUST SMELTING GAINS WTF.
We are open to decreasing the time, but would rather have to do it again then increase because we opened the flood gates too far. We'll watch this and see how it goes.
have you thought about polling changes before implementing them? Oldschool Runescape does it and it's had a really good impact on what changes go in and what don't.
With the speed people will drain nodes with the new gathering time? I think 20 minutes would be smarter, one hour would SUCK and we would have an empty map of nodes all the time. Edit: If you do this I'm going to max an alt and kill every gatherer i see, even the noobs
I'm confused how people are seeing the buff others as a negative. I can't think of many spawns worth farming that require more than 30 seconds of swinging to kill the mob. Fire Dragons and champion spawns are the only ones that were made more difficult(and that's fine, imo.) It's a fantastic change for PvP(Though.. it does skew the favor toward mages quite a bit until they decide to fix field AoE's and the radial fall off of splash damage).
A form of specialization for crafting. The exact details are not finalized however a broad overview is you will be able to pick 1 (maybe 2) Artisan specializations and train them. These will provide bonuses to your crafted items in the forms of more durability, more damage/mitigation and even items that regular crafters cannot make. There will be at the very least one artisan spec for each crafting school; weaponsmithing, armorsmithing, jewelcrafting, staffcrafting, enchanting, taming, and so on. You will be able to change your profession, but will be required to retrain when you do, so it is discouraged.
Did you remove Maintenance? I didn't see it in the patch notes but I know it was in the initial update.
wait so, it wasn't added as a base skill to all chars? you just removed it? I don't get it. some of these changes just don't make sense. you want people to burn through regs FASTER? (removal of reg cons) and burn through dura FASTER?
Can you add a keybind to toggle off item dura, or at least the option to turn it on separately in the inventory and the paperdoll? By the way, did you remove masteries? Not in the notes. I tested the effect of skill on weapon damage: Two weapons, a GA and a GS, both with .59 damage, my skill in GA is 7, and GS is 87, and the damage differences is 10 points per hit. Is that what is intended? Doesn't seem consistent with what you said in your other post, where the difference between 1 skill and maxed would only be 10%.
There is a toggle in the GUI options menu and I just pushed a change so that full dura items will not show the bar.
Tested effect Do you even read mine? I asked if there could be a key bind to turn it on and off, which would make it a lot more convenient.
They need something to offset the fact that you can get 300 iron ore in about 5 minutes. --- Post updated --- Why not? There's a keybind to toggle your Task tracker, your hotbar and your item counter..
Looks like Silverbirch's are unaffected and need to change to reflect the new harvesting changes. They are still on the old respawn time, and still only give 3 per hit, to a max of 152.
Speaking of keybinds how about a hotkey for the loot bag and a way to bind emotes similiar to the spell stacking/cycle would be cool.
everything looks interesting but not found of removing trueforge, reagent conservation or maintenance
