We said this to them in discord (~ 7 people) and they had like 3 team members just argue with us the whole time and 1 of them said some things a person who is apart of the company shouldn't say. I think he was mad.
Couple of questions on the tax thing.. Why? And what kind of percentage are we talking about here? I personally could care less about a tax rate cause it will not bother me. but I think that with the current population we do have and everyone basically using sanguine as a central trading/crafting/porting hub it could actually have an effect on your newer player base. A new player downloads Darkfall, wants to play a wolf because he thinks they look cool or what have you. Plays for a week, doesn't really have the mats or is ready to start crafting on his own. He's goes to the market to see if he can snag some gear sets for cheap just to find out he's taxed on it because everyone is basically using the human city as a central hub? If it isn't a very high tax then what's the point? And if it is every real player with a decent bank will just spend 2k in porting there with their rune book instead of paying the tax rate on bigger purchases. If it's low it's a low tax rate I really only see it having an effect on newer players, which I feel like the market will benefit more than anyone else. Any vets bank isn't even going to be noticed by it. Not bashing.. Just trying to see where yalls head at on this decision or if I'm not seeing the bigger picture.
Times are changing. Sure , gold sinks are necessary.. But save it for other things. Your game is dying and this is one of the only ways it will survive.. but if you tax it .. you're shooting yourself in the foot. This is like UW when they introduced the dyes ... nobody dyed their shit because it wasnt worth the farming or whatever.. I forget what it was like.. But it was stupid and I only used crappy dyes that were easy to get/buy... Get with it folks.. make your game fun , or you will have wasted lots of time and money..
If you want a gold sink then put in city deterioration basic mats and gold every week or your city falls apart. Meaningful, gold and basic material sink, makes sense, keeps inactive clans or small clans from owning multiple holdings. And if you let it deteriorate enough it goes live. See what I did there.
If you must then tax it all equally. Don't penalise people for using the shit markets nobody uses just make it all global and all taxed.
-1 point for whit +2 points for sink and not sing or singk. although im sure if you read it outloud thats what you'd say.
u have 80 players online... RARE ore AFK.... i never believe in that system. they added more golem, fight for it
Tax on players for players trading each other, cant agree with that as a gold sink. A good gold sink is something the player uses to benefit themselves, and needs to be used to benefit themselves. Portal shards, incredible gold sink. Billboards, incredible gold sink. I think a better sink can be thought of. Sinks, when i think about it, are connected to actual content.
