    Agreed. This will be a great change in tandem with the upcoming race change option. It would really suck to level something to 100 and then start back at 0.

    In the vid he said it levels pretty much instantly anyway, so everyone in game with a char already when they release the patch probably shouldnt have to do more than 1 or 2 actions corresponding with the passive/racial in order to max it.

    30 mana for half stam drain for 1.5 min. Seems pretty cheap lol. First spell he casts in the video is dwarven perseverance (30 mana). Second one is the stat monster, Rage.

    One other thing, No removal of knockback on polearm or did I miss that piece? Because there is absolutely no use for it tbh

    Currenty there was no change made to the polearm knockback, we will be monitoring all weapon changes and tweak again if we need to.

    Alright, thanks for the quick response. Disappointing but all of the other changes are fantastic. I will be going "elf" on release for sure.

    I hope when you launch this patch that there are plans to do the race changes? I'd really like to give it a shot to see the difference between release.

    This was unexpected. Kind of seeing development jump all over, first it was new player experience (still missing tip markers and quests indicators) then a portal network with 4 functioning portals, then an overhaul on crafting system for Bow Crafting / Enchanting, now race diversification?

    * What about PvP flags for warring clans?
    * The ability to purchase a racial alignment shift (Human blue to Alfar)
    * Merging Alfar into Ork / Maherium alliance or dynamic faction alliances?
    * Are we going to get a release date or should be just play with a wipe over our heads that could fall at any moment?


    Over all I feel the game is moving forward, but when we started Alpha/Beta we were all on a roller coaster of change and possibility. Over time the ride has started to slow and now everything we do feels like we are fighting uphill with no clear climax in sight.


    I feel that until the goal is clear on what we are trying to achieve leaving Beta Open may just be drain everyone's time.
    Nothing will be gained by changing racial abilities because no one is going to start over now to test them.

    We will be implementing race changes soon™. The current persistence system is archaic, so we're testing something new. I wont go into any technical details in this post, but this change will grant us a lot more flexibility. One of the first things we'll do with it is add race changes.

    4) we've discussed many times that we'll be releasing mid to late Q1.

    More NPE changes are coming, no worries on that. We will get them in before launch.

    I was going to go human female on launch, now reconsidering going mirdain and learning destro.

    Upon reconsidering it for over a minute. Don't think I could do it because the mirdain male headbobbing back and forth animation drives me insane.

    *dream on* Just imagine what BPG + DND devs could have done together in that time. Both teams doing so great and awesome patches.

    Combined I think we could have the absolut awesomeness in just no time *dream off*

    This will be a really good patch, just wondering if once those changes are done, you planning to let Beta players change race, so we can give a try all the new stuff and provide feedback.

    Don't get me wrong, nice patch and good work but this isn't going to bring fresh players in. That should be your number 1 priority

    3 months in, no content outside of essences. We can add all these nice features but the game won't thrive on it.

    Still patiently waiting on a big content patch.

    Everyone currently playing should get at least 1 free race change since this would highly change what race people would want to play. If people are forced to buy this first race change in beta you won't see as many people swapping races and you'll still see most people playing human.

    Was really excited too see the changes but I'm afraid that Human will be the best still, also free race change?
