I had a dream that my mother was dating Tasos. When I saw them together I was like 'sonofabitch'. Needless to say I'll no longer be sleeping until RoA releases.
Thanks for posting the positive news @MWTaylor - Can we please start from scratch(not max chars) , so we can get a feel for the early game and help you guys with some feedback on changes in this regards? Edit - Nevermind my mates just told me it's a week of maxed and then wiped.
No that was the old plan when we were going to do a week of alpha. Now we will be going straight to closed beta, so characters will be starting from scratch.
how long will the game be secured 1 year,2 years,6 months? or how long do you have servers paid up? will this be a month to month server based on subs?
Closed beta will mean a fresh start, new characters and a full wipe of the world. The alpha super gain rates are removed and set to a level where we expect to start launch with(8x gains, expected to be roughly the same as DnD current rates for those playing their stress test). The insane gathering rates are removed as well as the ridiculous loot from chaos chests(We have buffed the loot from them though, just not crazy like in alpha). There are a considerable amount of changes in the build as well including the new GUI improvements, crafting and refining changes, resource gathering tweaks, alignment changes, front loaded skills/stats(A graph to show the new power curves will be in the patch notes), online meditation, etc. We're now at a feature freeze point on new features going into the build minus a few mission critical tasks for closed beta. There's over 33 tasks from the game design queue alone that are completed and a few more finishing up QA. Patch notes will be posted once we have the full list of all features that are confirmed in and passed QA. Closed beta is a soft launch test/polish of the game and servers. We'll be finishing up the first roadmap and starting to add in a lot more changes now. -Andrew

lol someone posted this exact thing in DND race alliance last night. it was you or someone else and you guys copied eachother. or two people are having dreams about their mom and tasos which would make my head explode. hopefully its not that
cant wait. timing couldnt be worse as i have to go work out of town for about a month in about a week but thems the breaks i guess :O. hotel wifi suuuucks but ill be home on weekends and will be playing when i can and monitoring forums etc! good luck guys! Im counting on you
That dream is common for most people who deal with post traumatic stress. It represents our helplessness to control a greater power. Luckily my mom would be a zombie in that scenario, so I only have to deal with that dream in October.
