Is this event event spawning more then one of each of the items? I've killed hundreds a mobs i dont think "rare" was the right word. maybe one of a kind legendary?
The toys are permanent additions to loot tables. They are rare, you could find one quickly, slowly, or not at all. If they were really easy to get then everyone would have them and they would be meaningless.
You ever played or heard about Ragnarok Online? The drop rates of some items in that game is .01%. Now THAT is a grind.
So if I give up on collecting them because its too hard wouldn't that make you ever adding them more meaningless? I don't really care if you guys want to stick to your guns on this, I just want to give you my feed back and while its fun to get out for a chance to get rare items, I feel like im wasting my time when I farm for 4-5 hours killing 200-300 mobs and don't even stumble over an item that says "Better luck next time." To me it be more fun if you added lots of pieces that I got often and could trade to get a finished model.
Drop rates can always be adjusted in the future, let's see how it plays out. Just think of it this way though, if a toy has a high chance of dropping then in that time you spent farming you might have gotten ten or more of them, then there are lots of other people that will farm them too, and next thing you know they are a lot less interesting. The fact that they are rare gives them more meaning.
Came back from a week of camping and see an update to RoA .. how sweet is that Its a good time to be plugged back into electricity lol. Great job guys keep it up.
Disappointment is often followed by Frustration and then Anger. If you listen to @Andrew these toys will one day have displays and link the exact time and day you looted it to forever encapsulate your memory. If you listen to anyone else in BPG the toys are meaningless fluff. The only question you have to ask yourself is, are you willing to spend WEEKS of your time hunting down and collecting something that is either meaningless or something that encapsulated your memories in the game?
the answer is, i'd rather play games that release content, rather than chase nothingness in an effort to circumvent the frustration of zero content evar.
