I just listened to it. About 30 total minutes wasted by some guy with an accent trolling. Bunny hopping in all directions, talked about the potential of graphical updates (directx shaders), how certain types of graphics updates aren't a good investment of time and money, Boats/Mounts are going to be faster, there is work being done on a more complex wilderness portal system (more than DFUW), security updates are ongoing until the game reopens (no eta, but offhandedly got offended when someone said we should all play Wurm online for two months. Seemed to think the server would be up before that long of a time), there will be no auction houses, talked a little on alignment (no real details, just that they haven't heard a solution that seemed worth spending time on), and that is all I can remember.
I love how you made it sound like they feel that most everything isn't worth their time or effort. If you payed more attention to what they had to say, most of everything talked about are things they intend on getting around to and fixing/updating. But they are going down the list of things they have plans on changing. For those of you who didn't hear the Q&A, the RoA team has better intentions than RootedOak is bringing to light.
Anyone interested in the future of the game will be happy to hear they don't plan to waste time on things like new graphics, etc.
Eventually we will look at things like graphics updates and such but at the current time we have other pressing matters and priorities to go through before looking at upgrading/expanding the graphics.
what i got from this is dyes and titles are gonna be easy to implement HYPE forgot to ask in the Q&A, any plans on free trials once game releases @MWTaylor ? --- Post updated --- they actually said end of the month/start of next month as an ETA, and that guy with the accent was postman pat, no idea wtf the mods were doing responding to him tbh
I am working on some plans for something along the lines of this, but I'll release more details once we finalize some things on our end.
