How can we be so sure that relics aren't going to blow up in our faces? How do we know that there won't be OP combinations? We need to see the list of possible rolls/values. How random will it really be? Where are the threads where we talked at length about all of this like a year or two ago? Too many questions. Why can't we theorycraft relics? I don't trust this to not create insane op builds... If we are given this grind, we should make 120 stats easier to get as well, grinding ain't fun. This could potentially really mess with the meta of the game balance wise imo, but nobody really seems to care about balance in this game, everyone zergs anyways so it won't even matter lol I'm so bored, I wish there was a system in place in the game to have even numbered fights
One day we'll have an arena As for relic balance, I'm sure we'll go into more detail as we get further along. We are not ready for a discussion about that yet as we are still ironing things out. Care will be taken to maintain quality. You will also have the option to use offensive, defensive, or balanced relics so if you don't like the way your fights are going you'll be able to try new relics until you find the set you excel with.
remember when we said we wouldnt fuck with pvp combat, just add content? this aint it chief GM Ibis05/31/2020 How about we don't touch them at all. No combat changes Neilk06/15/2020 @everyone Baradron Update Patch Notes June 15th, 2020 Increased cast time on Impulse Skill now this
Can't speak for others, but I will log back in to try relics. I like the idea of experimenting with different setups and powering up certain aspects of my character. I will say, if the drop rates for the best relics are 1/100 on difficult mobs (long respawns / takes multiple people to kill), this system will be a huge pain in the ass and a barrier to pvp. I won't subject myself to hundreds of hours of farming some boring mob just to get on a level playing field with others.
I think relic accessibility will work out nicely. They won't drop like candy but I imagine you'll be able to find a satisfactory set fairly easily, but a god-tier set would take much more effort. I am curious to mix and match too, I like using all the different primary weapons so that should be fun.
