Glad to see BPG taking a hard stance on exploitation. Also grateful for the server message letting us know about downtime, well ahead of time.
What happens if the things that were duped went into other systems like city building or constructing weapons/armor?
Wow, I appreciate the communication! You guys are freaking incredibly. I'm shocked. You guys literally made agon rise again! Will you guys be having merchandise for sale? I'd own a shirt in a heartbeat!
A lot of typos. Proof read the post before making it next time and maybe clean it up. Other than that nice post. Thanks for the info!
I'm also in favor of a ban-hammer style page. Let the clans who supported the culprits be exposed and shunned.
Make sure the vid from that Q&A are avaliable right after, so that the people needing to work/sleep then don't miss any new info. We are many that wait for hints on the house crafting, and it would suck to miss out because we live on the wrong side of the spinning ball in space.
It's good to see that your company finally - after a lot of pressure - came out and made a clear, official statement on these forums about what's been going on. And it's even better to see that BPG's persistence checking system was able to track down and delete duped items. We know this from the post in the thread about a guy who had a duped brigantine he says he innocently bought: https://i.gyazo.com/489dc81e91c021e63382181ad67fa394.png I think that's impressive. It's disappointing that BPG employees and surrogates lied for so long about there being no dupe. It's also interesting to note that the item the player had deleted from their bank by your system was a duped brigantine, when your official position on reddit suggested there was no such thing. Or at least attempted to undermine the credibility of those who were reporting that there were duped brigs. So I say this to you: Stop being like Aventurine. This is the second time your company has failed to properly deal with a major and serious issue that needed open, transparent and honest statements from your company. If you want to avoid me starting threads like the one in reddit again, then: a) tell your employees to stop attacking my personal credibility, whether that's on this forum or on Discord; b) the next time such a serious issue arises, deal with it swiftly, openly on your forums (not a Discord server that less than 20% of your membership reads) and honestly. There will be times when you can't say very much until further investigating is done. That's fine - you can still make a statement and explain that. Stop trying to hide things - the community always knows - it always finds out. And there will always be people like me who despised Aventurine's lies and underhand practices. And who don't want to see your company following the same methods.
Thank you guys for being so transparent. Lets keep darkfall alive and the community strong and enduring. Hope to pvp every single player by the end of my darkfall career. Let the heads roll.
This was a mistake on whoever did the initial search, they were searching for the wrong boat. I can't remember which, but I believe it was the reed boat that had that result. No one was lying.
Dude get the fuck over yourself. People make mistakes. Not only is BPG doing an amazing job overall but they're being transparent as hell...even to the point where they publicly make a statement that turns out to be false...then correct themselves when they have more info. It's just a game. Go outside.
If BPG had acted professionally and transparently and not: a) denied, then b) obfuscated, then c) gone silent there would've been no need for this. You might be content to be led around by the nose - AV style - and believe every denial BPG have put out. But their own statement on this shows that their previous denials were - at best - incorrect statements. You might not be burned out by the years of outright lies from Tasos and AV, but many others are. And I'm one of them. So yes, I expect - as do others - BPG to live up to a better standard than AV did. Let's face it, it's not hard. And as I said, this is the second time BPG has acted in this duplicitous manner. I should add that I deleted my previous post because I thought it was pointless. Had you not replied, I wouldn't have written this post either. I have the feeling these concerns are landing on very deaf ears at BPG.
