Wof, eye rot, needle nerfs were the only good nerfs. Impulse was the only good addition. Everything else is the reason i don't pay to play this game. In fact, i'm not really playing; just waiting for hot shit to happen to logon. ... Will i support this game after this patch? I doubt it. We need combat revert asap and more than pve mindless grind to be meaningful to build-up banks.
only thing that will make people will want to come back is if they do a combat revert and if they do that its going to be alot better for community
Most of the people who still log into this game, at least those that post on the forums, hate ANY kind of combat change regardless. It's a combination of autism, extreme pessimism towards BPG, and PTSD obtained through years of disappointment and abuse by Aventurine I can't even really blame them either
I don't hate combat changes. ROA vanilla combat is better than what we have now. Have you tried DF ROA beta? Best combat imo. After beta, comehilther, wof, eye rot, needles got nerfed. That's better. Impulse was added to replace spike-hop which is fine with me. Almost everything else made the game feel worse or more like a DPS race in favor of those who got low pings. I got 29 pings so i'm not complaining, but the game is not as tacical as it used to be. You don't have to read your opponent as much, you mostly have to land your shots and to rotate as fast as you can. The dagger meta is lame too. You can either main daggers or you must carry a dagger to defend yourself which is lame. As for the current state of destroyer, it has never been worse. I'm one of them who wanted destroyers to be removed, but now, i want everything reverted because i have realized that we just don't have the team to make the combat feel better than ROA beta vanilla. It will just take too long and i'm not willing to support a new combat system until everything becomes balanced. I rather have more meaningful content and faster paced gameplay over bank-staring all day to make sure you got everything ready.
As mentioned previously, there will be changes to combat that occur when the new armor is added in this patch, and everyone will have a chance to try it out themselves on the Public Test Server. You will all have an opportunity to express your opinions on the changes and provide feedback when that occurs.
What I don't understand is that you guys keep putting the cart before the horse. Why leave the game in it's current state when you know changes to back them up are months apart??
im so scared lol this change will take for ever no one will ever be happy and u will end up getting more players quit just like the previous combat change ...
BPG should be implementing patches constantly on the PTS sever. Combat changes should have happened months ago on the PTS. Once anything goes live on the PTS there will be bugs and other problems that will probably take days if not weeks to fix. Implementing as they go would give current players drive to keep playing.
"Revamped World Textures" On what scale is this taking place? are we going to start seeing a lot of updates to the graphics or is this going to be small changes here and there until we see a lot or the textures changed/updated? They will be ready for testing on the public test server very soon™ as only a few things are remaining. As previously stated the armors will be using placeholder models of existing armor pieces during the testing stage so make sure to keep your friends informed of which new sets you're using during testing as many of them will look the same. The new armor models will not be used during testing (at least the early stages) as they are not yet ready for in-game use.

Not sure what content is too you but since this game revolves around pvp and is the primary focus I would then call that also content, all be it different from adding in mobs which they have also done. Also not sure why you assume we cannot have both? Why the addition or change in one to you means the other may not exist or happen? I mean that is basically what your failed sarcasm attempted to point out.
