Nat Kro and I are making new characters from scratch. No help from our main characters - ironman-esque, as if we were both new players starting out.
but why? cannot get new player exp. with a ton of knowledge about how and where to level. Biggest issue you might face are crazy fans trying to dick you over.
New player watches, they learn a thing or two. Also, it’s something to do. Ironman mode is a big thing in OSRS. Enjoyable content. Plus if Rex has a guest in coms like the guy from last night, it’s worth whatever he is steaming just to listen to that crazy bastard ramble.
Nice stream. Is the game populated nowadays or did BPG actually succeed in making proper pvp hotspots? Watched some vids and the new villages seem interesting.
What are villages like now? Why is there so much fuzz about combat changes? I know eye rot and pungent mist got nerfed. An eye rot nerf was neccesary imo. And what are those essences used for? I saw rex buying some on the stream.
Villages are pretty good, you have 3 control points wich can be captured during the village is live. When you captured a point you/your team get points. The first one to reach 1200 points captures the village and gets the loot in their bank. The essences you saw rex buying are used to make scrolls for each school to lvl your skills.
I remember in one of my clans people used to start out from a holding with completely nothing. The goal was to farm whatever you needed from either mobs or players till you died. Was pretty fun having to fight pretty much goblins first for their armor and then finding a mob with regs.
making arrows, elemental etc.. also used for making scrolls to help with leveling up. Villages can be 1 v 1 or 1 v 15 depends on time of day and which village
Either no one or 15(or even more) guys show up most of the time. Almost never anything in between. They aren't really good for solo or small scale more of a large scale thing lately. I hope we get some kind of village queue system that makes things a little more even at some point as right now its pretty boring either way (zerging or getting zerged). I think its important to make sure there is content for all amounts of people.
So you made a new character because you couldn't band enough zerglings together to run poor @Myater out of the game... what a quitter...
