    I guess two weeks for runebook, two weeks to fix errors on that patch, and then maybe eight weeks from now portal chamber patch ,

    There is obviously more to this than we know. I do development in ue4, which has I'm sure way more user friendly tools. I can write changes, play test them, visually debug a lot of the issues and finish a lot of fixes in a day. Then compile out in 10 or 15 mins and move on to play testing. This is much older code, sounds like compile times are long and more than likely require uploads to the test server to be tested. If something is off then you are back at square one making the change, compiling, uploading, testing.

    This means something as simple as village changes could break other aspects, causes crashes and even in certain situations just not work as expected. If compile times are 30 mins for example, upload is 10 and server startup 10 or 15 you can see very quickly how long the simplest changes can take.

    This is of course all just a guess on my part as I don't know what is required for time on these things but I'm sure a lot of time is lost to this process.

    Keep in mind also you need multiple people testing as usually a programmer isn't the best tester. He tends to use systems as designed where a combination of other players may use it in a more unorthodox manner. This I'm sure adds time to the whole process as you are possibly waiting for multiple people from different timezones to hop on and try to break it.

    We're not ready to patch yet, but we'll be putting the villages changes and others onto the public test server in the next day or so. We'll likely only start with very few villages and update more as the objects get placed.

    Lol, I promise I'll work that in asap. This patch is still going through QA and I would like to get everything completed and have more testing time on the public test server before we go live with it. We are looking good to have PTS updated this weekend and if all goes well we will push it to live sometime next week.
