    It's super flawed to use this video as an example. Firstly we can see what Luck is wearing but everything else has so many variables. Stats, weapon skills, other players enchants etc.

    Even your screenshot example is terrible, do you really think there was 11 points of damage difference between an r60 and r70?

    And are you actually suggesting that melee damage should be higher than what it is now?

    The screen shot he took of the 42 slashing damage is luck hitting animal in the face and we can all see that animal is wearing full infernal. as at the very least its safe to say luck was using a .90+ jb considering he did so much damage to infernal.

    I don't know about his thornreaper screen shot but I just watched Mike's recent video and he's doing 36 dmg to the front to a full full plate game which is significantly less than 42 vs infernal.

    The first image is 31 to infernal with an r60 and then it's 42 with an r70. Do you think these are the same sets and an r70 did 11 more damage? Or do you think maybe one of the players is wearing slashing rings or the skill/stat differential is playing a part also?

    You can ignore the screen shot's. Watch the video after luck's blue tail dies. He hit's Animal who is in full infernal for 42 in the front. This was DFO where a higher than .91-.92 jb was rare.

    In mike's video with a jb against a BR who's wearing full plate he's only hitting 36. That says the ratio's are significantly off..

    We never once stated we were reverting back to DFO. We reverted the changes we said we were going to revert and we are done with it and moving on. Are there balance discussions to be had? Maybe, but comparing videos to DFO does NOTHING. We don't know what kind of stats, enchants, or anything except a visual and that is not enough to do an actual comparison. It's mostly useless information.

    Well considering there was no announced changes at the beginning to damage the inclination is yes you would be reverting back to dfo damage scales. What this is actually announcing is that you boys did some unannounced changes which results still in unbalanced combat.

    I mean I don't play like most ppl don't. Every time I get the urge to play all I have to do is come to the forums and be reminded of why I shouldn't.


    If you want this game to survive this do yourself a favor..

    Shut it down, don't let the people who are left be burned out in the state that it's in. Reset everyone's anger torwards it, and reinitiate everyone's addiction. It's the psychology of human's.. everyone want's what they can't have. Shut it down, finish the game and re-release it.

    Stop with the nonsense, the damage formulas are the same as DFO apart from the baseline changes we made.

    This video proves absolutely nothing. Do you really think there was an 11 damage difference between an r60 and r70 in DFO if both were keened considering that a hellraiser capped at 1.0 and a JB could get max .96 with a high roll and q5. Even if we took a default JB at .80 versus a 1.0 hellraiser it still wouldn't be 11 damage unless there was other factors at play such as q5 enchants, stats, skills etc.

    You are just looking for something to complain about at this point.

    There were no unannounced changed. Even with damage formulas and armor values being the same, skills and stats were also changed and those remain.

    Disregarding all of this, the one question neil asked that no one is answering, "Do you really think melee damage should be higher than what it is now?" - and to be fair don't try answering if you don't play, you're just wasting our time at that point.

    If we're going to talk about mangled combat... how about being hit for 120 damage by a bugged 1.0 transmute while wearing full infernal.

    Destro seems way too strong right now for some reason, but other than that combat is tolerable and fun.

    I'd personally like to see a serious push towards additional game content ASAP instead of more # swapping or cosmetics.

    Thats just an infernal set, with no slashing protection, against a .97 R70. Let's factor in that he's clearly wearing protection jewelry, and I bet animal was too. and even if he wasn't... it doesn't add up anywhere near.
    Against destroyers? Absolutely. Especially considering their gimmick revolves around hitting players with their staves out to do 70+ damage. Not being a tankdps

    Are you saying that people in DFO were more maxed than my characters currently? If not, why are they doing more damage than my maxed characters?

    Everything you just stated means increased damage on an infernal set, especially since there was no skill that increased armour ratings. Yet I currently do less damage to an infernal set, with an R70, than they did back then with an R60 and weaker characters.

    Not sure what you're trying to point out, this only helps the argument.

    How about this 35 damage whirlwind from a JB?




    If you guys think this type of discrepancy is going to fly when mage sets actually cost money... IDK what to tell you.
