    anything is being tweaked to make it less horrendous?

    its just dumb a 2009 game that current cpus cant handle it with 150 fps at sieges.

    im using a i5 9600k / rtx 2070 and getting like 80 fps in huge sieges.

    my poiny is: the game is relatively low populated figure out if we had 2x the current numbers on sieges. shit will be broken and make new ppl just unistall.

    Ive noticed that the market gives me an fps bug. I'll log in at 140 fps, spend 15-20 minutes buying/selling on the market and my fps is at 60. Relog and it goes back to 140.

    I was having an issue for like 2 months straight and figured out my pc wasnt using high performance om the battery supply. So I switched it and its been good for about 3 months now

    anything below 144 fps in huge sieges is garbage considering my config and the age of game

    the entire GUI alone steal alot of performance.

    party bars is a good example of how a simple feature can fuck game performance.

    I get 200plus frames all around its like sieges dont event effect my performance. My pc is 32 gig ram 1080ti alienware (dont hate) aurora r7

    80 man siege stable 200 fps?
    i really doubt it.. record it next one pls.

    The hard problem is reproducing it in a development environment with debugging. Can't fix something you can't reproduce and isolate. This is not built on an out of the box game engine. You guys act like it's so easy.

    Here are the issues I get:

    • Gradual fps loss the longer I keep the market open, if I'm on for more than a minute I just relog before heading out of town
    • Choppy performance around villages like Harjik
    • Load lag (didn't have any two or three months ago, now I get it every time)
    • Seemingly random stutters while riding
    It seems like the increased population size is a bit much for the server to handle. My pc was fine on RoA and other games and RoA is pretty dated graphically so that's why I don't think it's my pc.I also booked two 1v1 pvp losses in which I had uncontrollable lag and couldn't defend myself, really would be nice to see things fixed.

    Well I'm not currently apart of a clan that partakes in large scale siege force. Maybe I can ask defiance to tag along on their next one.

    Arpad who is the guy working on graphics has notice there is many issues but fixing one thing in the engine could be awhile because alot of the stuff is intertwined.

    Note to all uninformed Darkfall players: Logout before important things. This game is riddiled with memory leaks that cause poor FPS and performance. When you're logged in for too long, it starts to really way down your client.

    DND was a shit game but they did fix a lot of performance problems.

    The new GUI that was introduced definitely eats a lot more FPS than the old one did. Might be a good place to look. The new party bars as someone stated in the thread already, can eat like 100 fps with a full group.

    "lol" your so so so uninformed, arrogant or ignorant you can pick one. The game was released in 2009, that doesn't mean the code was written in 2009. The engine was built between 2000 -2006 it's an antiquated inhouse from the ground up game engine. Aventurine was never able to fix it and they still had some of the original Razorwax developers. Those devs had 9 years experience with the code. I think it's a stretch to think BPG is going to fix it.

    Again they need to run a client in an IDE in debug mode to isolate the error. A really hard task to replicate in a QA/Dev environment. It's not something they can do in production. But keep think your write because you know everything.

    ure saying nothing here. i know all the story behind DF.

    repeating, that's the third year that BPG is working on it.... if they bought that fuckin licence to do NOTHING on performance and keep the sieges in game unplayable for 80% of players in the world ok.. they're dumb like u.

    400 frames drop to less than 60..when I open it..

    the entire GUI needs to be redone. party icons/bars eats tons of fps too
