Tons of action, sieges, PVP, daily. The metrics are a good indicator, however, people tend not to gank each other anymore since all the toxic vets quit finally! Blackwater is recruiting btw.
Whys that? I'm just reiterating what I was told on discord for months before they banned me for saying the opposite...
????? Don't take my word for it... Ask the GMs: 5 - 20 is about what? 12 average? A day? 12 * 365 = 4,380 trying the game out over a year, multiplied by .3 for the 30% retention rate... that's 1314 new players a year! And that was posted like 2 months ago! Which means there should be like 200 new active players since that was posted! The proof is in the pudding! Login and see for yourself.
I've seen a fair bit of new names in global chat recently, new people each day. A lot of people are waiting for the patch though, it's going to be a great one. Not sure exactly when it's going to happen but the devs want to take time to make it solid. Regarding Sero's screenshot, new players have not begun spawning in Monkfield yet, that'll be next patch. It should be really easy to recruit there and get some new clans made.
It's related to the zone changes too, you can read about it in this update. If Monkfield becomes too packed, we will allow choices of other human land cities. New players choosing a starting area and seeing nobody or very few people is a big downside, especially when at the moment there is 18 possible cities to start in. https://www.riseofagon.com/news/development-update-sept-26th-2019/
Andrew disappeared mid summer and let other less magnanimous BGP representatives run off the remaining playerbase by being, for lack of better words,: dickheads. Dont waste your time.
/wave Hope to see you when the next patch hits. Going to be a lot of good changes --- Post updated --- The starting area being consolidated is a part of a larger plan for the rest of the mainland and also involves an advancement of the lore leading into factions. There's a plethora of reasons for this consolidation including scripting a starting tutorial/player start by having one area instead of 18 to start players into. By having one area we can better create a new tutorial based on the area you start. Players will quickly move out of the starting spot into a city and from there explore. This also allows us to set up one safe sanctuary zone in Humanlands freeing up the rest of the continent for a faction system we've been finalizing over the last few months.
Since everyone is going to spawn in Monkfield, can you bring back the fire dragon near Sanguine? Break em in right!
I’ll beat the dead horse. a lot of the draw was the differing races and alliances and the different starting areas which all felt....well....different. This is further homogenization of the game. what you are doing is akin to the differences between classic and retail wow. I can only speak for myself but in 2009 had I started in human lands instead of the mean streets of akathos, I may have never stayed with the game. why bother even having races at this point. would just make it easier to make dyes if you guys had just one model. Just make them “regional humans” who have different “racial” abilities depending upon where in the world they are from. that feels like the direction you are heading.
